  1. Hi everyone,I am in need of at least one, ideally two BFF Simulations BLDRV3 cards. Happy to pay international postage, I am in UK.Thanks and regardsDave
  2. Hi Guys, Had a very quick check on the frequency changes at Bristol. Same as John where Delivery was announced as Clearance, also Director announced as Approach, although it was not clear if Director was actually ignored, I will check this again. My setup does not allow for the 8.33Hz spacing so, I decided to round down the frequencies in all cases so that I can always work out what the frequency I should tune to if the chart shows a 8.33Hz spacing. For example, Bristol Clearance, as it's called on the chart is 121.93 so I made it 121.90 in VOXATC. When VOATC asked me to tune to 121.90 (which was a good thing 🙂) nothing happened. I could not hear any talking and I could not a reply; I have yet to look into this. I also noted that Bristol Radar was used and not Bristol Approach, which was good, same as John with HK. I wondered if it might be possible to call "ATSUClearance" something else e.g. "ATSUDelivery", again to match the charts.I'll try it but don't really expect it to work. Anyway, I hope to have more time for this over the coming weekend. Regards Dave
  3. Hi John, I was thinking about pronunciation yesterday. I thought I could try to misspell those names that VOXATC struggles with e.g. Iraklion = heracklion? I don't know 🤪 Over all I think VOXATC does well but there are oddities; for example pronouncing wind as wind, as in wind the handle and glide slope as glid slope. Maybe I can change glide to glyde? I will get an opportunity to 'fly' later today and will test the frequencies I have changed. I will pursue the airborne hold positions as well. I think from memory the hold needs to be further than 40 miles of the airport, I wonder if there's a parameter I can change? Regards Dave
  4. Hi Kevin, Thanks for replying, sorry for my slow reply, just been very busy. I will do some swatting and give it a try. I have downloaded the manual, all 372 pages 😱 Regards Dave
  5. Hi Gents, Sorry for not being around, it's been manic for me over the past weeks, for a few reasons. I have only managed one flight out of Bristol and on this one flight the frequencies I added seem to function as I wanted, I will play around a bit more when able. This offer is greatly appreciated. I 'drive' a tube liner and nothing else so, class G airspace activity, LARS etc does not really affect me; so far as I understand. The discussion around editing AFCADS is interesting. There are definitely AFCADS where the hold short node is too far away from the runway and so does not work as it should. I have not, for a very long time, edited an AFCAD. I thought about playing around with one to see if I can stop the jerky movement of the AI (slightly different subject I know) I wondered if they nodes were closer together it might help? I find that the VOXATC lights are much brighter than any built in to an addon. Unrealistic but it does provide a clear hold point to stop at to trigger the next phase of VOXATC. Not perfect but I can work with this. On the subject of holds, this time those in the air, I find that the opportunity to add a hold to flight plan extras in unrealistic. The hold shown on the charts cannot be chosen in VOXATC flightplan extras. I have tried to manually add them but they are ignored. It would be good to be able to select these so that the procedure is accurate. Not sure if this possible? I'm still very busy but will test Bristol and report back. I'll check the forum as well, I don't get notification of replies for some reason. Regards Dave
  6. Hi, I know I can 'just' try this but, does anyone know what and how this actually works? It seems to have been omitted from the manual and the info in VOXCATC is somewhat lacking. Thanks Dave
  7. It's a shame the manual is not more explicit. I think there's a lot more already within VOXATC than we realise and if TW is going to further develop it and improve ground handling etc., then there really is nothing that comes close, IMHO anyway. If only we can get the remote panels working again................. I will try to test my changes to Bristol frequencies in the coming day or two and see if they work i.e. adding approach & departure frequencies. I'll let you know. Thanks Dave
  8. Great Kevin thank you. I won't need to add this myself since I do not fly GAs. It makes you realise how full a package VOXATC is. Regards Dave
  9. Hi John, Ah I see. I've lost the 12V/5V bus on my sim so I'm looking into this today. As soon as I can do some trialling I will and will come back to you. 👍
  10. Hi John, Thanks for your useful reply, as usual 😉 I will create a few of the xml files with various frequencies, multiple, Departure/Approach etc and see how I get along, I'll report back. I have another question, I notice that in some xml files there's the statement - "LARS=True" Do you know what this means? Thanks Dave
  11. Hi, I would like to add my own radio frequencies to VOXATC, these will be taken off the charts so that I can tune the radio without having to look at the VOXATC window. I can remember most of the procedures and so don't need the VOXATC window open, except to tune the frequencies for ATIS, Ground etc. I have a home cockpit and so the VOXATC window is not ideal in the outside view and of course remote panels does not work with P3D V5. I am aware of the Roaming\Internal Workings\VOATC P3D V5\apdata folder. I plan to add non UK and those UK airports not included with VOXATC. My idea is to add the following text within suitable named xml files for a range of airports: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <Airport ReplaceUnits="true"> <ATSUApproach Name="cologne" Frequency="121.05" /> <ATSUApproach Name="langen radar" Frequency="126.325" /> <ATSUTower Name="cologne" Frequency="124.975" /> <ATSUClearance Name="cologne" Frequency="121.85" /> <ATSUGround Name="cologne" Frequency="121.725" /> <ATIS Name="cologne" Frequency="119.025" /> </Airport> These would be called, for example LGAV.xml I notice that for some of the airports added by VOXATC i.e. EGGD, there is much more information than just radio frequencies. Does it matter if this is not included? Can I add multiple frequencies e.g Ground West, Ground North etc. Will VOXATC use these correctly? Can I add for example: ATSUApproach Name="Athens" Frequency="126.325" /> ATSUDeparture Name="Athens" Frequency="126.325" /> (I don't know if VOXATC can recognise 'Departure' I'm usually handed to 'Approach' or 'Radar' when departing. Will VOXATC use these correctly i.e. departure when leaving, approach when arriving? Do I need to run the indexer or is this separate from that? Finally, can I give the details a name of my choice i.e. Athens is called 'Eleftherios Venzelos Ground', 'Eleftherios Venzelos Tower' when the info is drawn from P3D, but I'd rather call it 'Athens Ground', Athens Tower' etc., is this okay to do? Thanks in advance for any advice. Regards Dave
  12. Hello, Was this ever resolved? Thanks Dave
  13. Hi John, Thanks for your reply. Well, I may be getting older and brain function is diminishing but, I could have sworn I had the remote panels working across the network in P3DV4.4 I didn't get around to it in V4.5 and now I am running V5 and wanted to set it up again.. Certainly there was a section in the manual about how to set it up. Oh well, that's that then........ Guess I'll have to put up with having the VOX window on the screen, which is not ideal (I have a home cockpit). I will try to find the manual with the detail in though since I'd like to have a go at setting it up. Thanks and regards Dave
  14. Hi, Does anyone have the up to date manual for VOXATC. I need the version that has the extra section about remote control, pages 81 - 83 I think, with information about setting up VOXATC across a network? I only need this section. The manual on the VOXATC website is not the latest version. Thanks very much Dave
  15. Hi, I have found the problem and now VOXATC is working. Although the installer inserted the Windows Titles information in the Panel.cfg, the window detail was missing i.e. ////<VoxATC [Window01] visible=1 size_mm=400,200 window_size=0.3,0.3 window_pos=0.05,0.05 background_color=0,0,0 ident=14077 zorder=5 alpha_blend=0.65 gauge00=VAGauge!VoxATCPrompt,0,0 ////>VoxATC I'm not sure how this can happen. I did rerun the installer and still this information was not added. All I've got to do now is get the flight planner in P3DV5 to work, it keeps crashing the sim....... Thanks for trying to help. Dave NB I would mark the topic as solved but ca't seem to edit the title.
