I am way way way behind in 50,000 screenshots waiting for me to edit, research, and publish on various aviation forums!! Presenting a nice cargo flight from PANC Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airportlocated 5 miles southwest of downtown Anchorage in Alaska to PADU Tom Madsen (Dutch Harbor) Airport located in city of Unalaska on Amaknak Island in the Aleutian Islands off the coast of Alaska. The airport of arrival is known for risky runway 12 approach especially in tough winter conditions!! The cargo combi plane waiting patiently along with row of airport vehicles for a plane in front to finish pushback and engine start Airborne on climb to FL300 after take off from runway 15 with nice background view of sunrise Making lots of turn adjustments to start the flight route ENA NOSKY AKN CUDDA MORDI ROFZU Nice wing view of Cook Inlet waters and Kalgin Island which has an official resident population of one person!! Cruising at FL300 with view of Chisik Island at lower right corner of this screenshot and directly just below the plane is 40-mi-long strip of water called Kachemak Bay which is part of Kachemak Bay State Park that was the first state park in Alaska Passing beginning of waters of Iliamna Lake that is third largest lake in the United States. This lake is noted for sport fishing where you can catch fat rainbow trout, Sockeye (red) and Chinook (king) salmon, and grayling as long as few populations of freshwater seals in the world do not steal your prized catches or Iliamna Lake Monster does not kill you first. Entering waters of Bering Sea Passing Katmai National Park and Reserve At 3,000 ft after descent from FL300 now above Akutan Island to get ready for risky approach to runway 12 You must fly 2,000 ft above waters of Broad Bay closer to right mountains When the runway 12 is in visual, time to make left turn toward it Still making left turn toward the runway Darn very powerful winds are making it hard to position correctly for runway approach Fighting against winds and crosswinds!! Shalom and greetings all my pals, Presenting a nice Alaska Airlines Hercules action via flight from PAAQ Palmer Municipal Airport located 1 mile southeast of the central business district of Palmer in Matanuska-Susitna Borough of Alaska to PAHO Homer Airport located two miles east of the central business district of Homer in the Kenai Peninsula Borough of Alaska. Getting ready for fight to Homer that is considered and known as the Halibut Fishing Capital of the World. Starting engines!! Right engines started and revved up Starting left engines Gauges indicating that engines are ready for taxi! Starting to taxi to short of runway 34 Entering into taxiway on way to runway 34 Still taxiing on taxiway towards the runway Nice cockpit view of mountains of Chugach State Park Holding short of runway 34 to check for any GA plane Entering into runway 34 with background view of Buffalo Soapstone mountain range Cockpit view of entering into runway 34 Ready for take off!! Shalom and greetings all my pals, Presenting exciting regular scheduled Reeve airline service from PADL Dillingham Airport located two nautical miles west of the central business district of Dillingham in Alaska to PANC Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport located 5 miles southwest of downtown Anchorage. Very excited passengers boarding Reeve Airline DC-4 featuring well polished/buffed masterpiece livery work painted and polished exclusively by repainter named Hartmut Hekmann who is the official repainter for Virtual Aircraft Restoration Facebook group owned and operated by Hartmut Hekmann and Tobias Krause. Time for preflight inspection!! Check out super shiny and well polished engines!! Checking right wing to be sure there is no ice or snow build up CHECK OUT reflection of clouds on metallic shiny wing! Checking left wing for same reason WHOA I can see cloud reflection on the wing! Checking right engines Checking left engines Dont you love shine? Checking wheels you will need lobster bib to catch your drooling from seeing shine on engines! Checking wheels Checking to be sure flaps are set properly Checking propeller blades to be sure there are no ice WHOA WHOA look at cloud reflection on propeller blades Checking right propeller blades for same reason WHOA WHOA I can see reflection of mountains on engine cover Checking front wheel Checking tail Cannot help admiring metallic shine Got to activate all de-ice buttons!! I do NOT know what the pump button for alcohol is for!! Starting left engines resulting into mind blowing exciting and massive engine start smoke Starting right engines producing massive engine start smoke that is blown forward by powerful winter winds Engines are ready for action!!! But wait I need to spool up engines for few seconds to be sure they are ready for action in bitter freezing winter weather Starting to taxi to short of runway 1 to start exciting flight! Making sure the route waypoints are ready to avoid high mountains due to the fact there is no weather radar and no terrain warning computer meaning I must avoid mountains covered by clouds.
