  1. Seems to have been awfully quiet from Alabeo, and no indications they have even heard our criticisms, much less acted upon them. Is anyone here in actual contact with them and able to provide an update on the present status?
  2. Name: PA38 Tomahawk II First Flight Category: XP Aircraft Date Added: 13 January 2014 - 04:01 PM Submitter: sharris Short Description: PA38 Tomahawk II First Flight Hi, new video of PA38 Tomahawk II First Flight (plane by Alabeo). I hope you like View Video
  3. Hello folks, Best in 1080pHD I bought Aerosoft`s Kastellorizo X last week and thought it was well worthy of a video. Here are the results. Its a pretty high paced video and I`m really pleased with the result. Thanks for watching Doogie Add-ons Aerosoft- Kastellorizo X and Huey X REX - Essentials Overdrive using random generated weather Alabeo-Waco YMF5 and Extra 300S Freeware Cruise Ship from FSDownload.net FSRecorder-Fraps-FS Water Configurator-TrackIr5-Sony Vegas Lots of coffee!
  4. New project from Alabeo, the DA40. This one seems closer to completion compared to previous reveals. It looks very similar to the PiperSport and it looks really nice in my opinion! I'll be following this, and can't wait for more news on the Cardinal too.
  5. Hi all, I have purchased and downloaded the alabeo DA42. It has a few bug but the one that is annoying me is the fact i dont have a flight director on the PFD. Not even CTR+F works! Anyone able to help? Thanks

  8. The bundle that contains the C177B in both FG and RG versions was released about half an hour ago. As expected, this bundle costs more than previous Alabeo aircraft, specifically $28.95. Also, it was released the same day as the A2A Piper Cheroke 180. ^_^
  9. Flying the Alabeo Piper Tomahawk around CZST Stewart BC. I love FSX, but I'm enjoying X-plane as there are some really great addons becoming available.
  10. It’s a Pitts ....great....err no. This is the second such aircraft I have been disappointed with the previous being an Extra. I am sure that to (flight) model these type of aircraft is extremely difficult and under appreciated. We can all go OOH AAH at what we see an FMC doing or how many buttons we need to press to get the galley coffee machine working; these are obvious, visible. Not so the subtle variation in the effects of propwash or roll rates at different speeds. The ground roll in this creation is about as demanding as a Cessna 152. My suspicion is in the rush to cross -port , the same stability augmentation dynamics have been applied as with the lovely Beech Bonanza. Which is ok if your just straight and level. It’s a beautifully drawn creation. I am sure Chaos Manor ( my goto website for X-plane info) will be raptured by the rivet count ,reflections and night lighting (not after 30mins see below). But for a simulated flying experience........... The prop control doesn’t work on the ground checks ?!? (same as the Bonanza) The alternator switch doesn’t work and the battery shows a discharge so I presume you’ve got 30mins before the radios pack-up. I don’t know I put it to bed after 10mins. The documentation is flash but minimal to absurdity. I still don’t know what one lever and a switch do. There’s no cockpit guide let alone advice on handling. Although there is what looks like a copy of Flight Unlimited basic guide to aeros. Nice body .....shame about the flight dynamics. Is this the way we want x-plane to go? TIM (X-plane fan)

  13. Hello, I'm having a problem with the new Alabeo PA38 Tomahawk II working with Opus. What one has to do with the other, I can't understand. When I load the Tomahawk, if I start Opus, I can start up the Tomahawk and takeoff, but shortly after takeoff FSX will lock up with a fatal error. If I don't use Opus, I can fly the Tomahawk all around with no problem. This is the ONLY aircraft that I have that doesn't seem to get along with Opus. I have never had this problem before with any aircraft. I have contacted Alabeo, but they have not responded with an answer to my problem yet. Is there any reason, that you can think of, that one aircraft, namely the Alabeo Tomahawk, would be incompatible with Opus? I use Opus for camera in conjunction with my TrackIR5, and for weather. I have FSX Gold running on a Sandy Bridge i7 with a GTX670 and 64Gigs of RAM using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Thank you, Bob

  15. Source: This thread Feel free to add your points with a short list and also report any current issues via the Alabeo ticket system. They might not change much if it doesn't get reported. While we are at it, just a list, not sorted by any priorities: no yaw damper (cleared item, the KAP equipped planes didn't have that) a flight director shouldn't be available (on KAP140 eq. planes), but it is (can be disabled in the aircraft.cfg) rudder trim knob and indicator are reversed G1000 transponder setting always is on, no GND or other modes available G1000 PFD popup uses the wrong 'suction' source (same as stdby instruments) whereas the VC G1000 PFD is correctly unaffected by any 'suction' loss. G1000/KAP140 no altitude alert sound de-ice system, panel labelled with 'no smoking', aircraft.cfg setting states NO anti-ice system at all on that plane, panel pumps (which should pump de-ice fluid) are bound to fuel pump commands, no anti-ice modes (mainly pumping actions) available, system is always off autopilot, popup gauge has 'FD' button, VC does not. As previously explained, there's no FD on the real KAP140 eq. plane, so the VC is correct. wrong fuel type as per aircraft.cfg, the plane runs the Thielert Centurion engines which consume Diesel or JetA, not Avgas as the cfg says. Only P3D related: Too high ground friction and/or weight dependence (to be investigated by users)Note: This post cannot be updated all the time. Later posts therefore give the more current picture regarding the plane's bug status.
  16. P3D, ORBX, ezka2, PTA, Alabeo and several exelent free planes.
  17. Check out the description of this video, it contains a mini-review with quite some criticism about some things. Those of you who have the Cardinal, do you agree with the points expressed? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uev-MtUNG2s Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the lights staying open even with the master switch off a problem with most (if not all) FSX aircraft? I'm sure I've experienced it in the default C172.
  18. Alabeo posted about an hour ago the following picture on Facebook: They also just updated their profile picture with a more shiny logo. Looks like they're going in a new direction. What do you think?
  19. Here's my first high-quality video using FS Recorder, Fraps, and Windows Video. Previously I was posting videos using my phone's recorder off screen, but I finally have a processor capable of capturing with FRAPS and am still learning the ropes of video editing. This was done really as a way to learn what I'm doing. Please enjoy, and watch for more (and better) to come!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=BtuNXaeMQAU
