Whilst setting up for a flight I found that I couldn't start the No:2 engine. No:1 engine started up OK. Tried a few things but gave up and restarted the flight. Now however I find that my Flypad is missing. I couldn't remember having seen any options to disable it in the settings. Looked again but nothing found. There must be a simple solution to fix this, can anyone help please. Baz

Using the P3D v4 NGX with latest updates through the OC. When I activate the HUD the lower right area of the display seems to be missing as if it is hidden "behind" the glare shield: see attached pic. https://www.dropbox.com/s/jgxu79g50sil3u9/IMG_1506.jpg This is probably not correct. Anyone else having this issue?

good afternoon, I have updated my pmdg 737 600,700/800 and 900 and I have gone to the Percisionmanuals.com website as I know thats where the liveries are. I have noticed that the 737 liveries for fsx tab is missing! is someone can provide me with a link to the liveries, it would be much appreciated please help!

I have done everything. I've checked my aircraft.cfg, fsx.cfg, looked at my textures to make sure they are there, HERE ARE PICTURES: (I know they are the preview, but it looks the same in the game) PASSENGER VERSION FREIGHTER VERSION I bought this today, and I wasn't expecting this. I need answers now as I'm really eager to fly this. The VC is perfectly fine, no holes, everything works. Its just the exterior. I've also searched over Google and Bing. No answers. NOW SOLVED! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

I took a stab at painting my own fictional 777 yesterday and aside from this one issue was successfull. I read through the manual from the paintkit and also I couldn't find any comments on the forums so I thought I would post here to see if others have had this problem. I am missing the N1 Fan in both engines with my custom 777 paint job. As far as I can tell this is the only thing that is missing. I made sure that my Texture.cfg file had the proper fallback references, which it should since I simply copied it from the paintkit. I even tried coping the pmdg_777_misc.dds and pmdg_777_misc_parts.dds files from the texture.common200LR folder into my custom texture folder but still had no luck. Here is what I am talking about, any thoughts?

I'm impressed with the smoothness of DX10 and FSX after making the necessary changes and using the modified files put together by stevejp. Thank you for all your hard work! However some of my favourite older aircraft now have all white textures inside and out which is a bit of a killer for me as I love flying my De Havilland Chipmunk, HS748, RealAir 172 and other pre-fsx aircraft. I have tried the addon x demo and even though it replaces some of the textures they all appear slightly transparent so have uninstalled it and am hoping to find another way of getting older aircraft textures to show up in DX10. Any ideas? Regards Adam

Hello all, Just when I thought I've seen most of the FS9 problems imaginable over the last 8 years. Here's another that I've noticed today that has me puzzled. In my assorted default and some freeware sceneries, I've noticed that default vehicles such as pushback tugs and baggage carts are now missing at every airport I've previously seen them at. Having just noticed this at KCOS today, I can't really speculate how long this has been for (otherwise I'd just do a system restore or change any recent settings). Anyone have any idea what bgl or other files may pertain to default ground vehicles? Thanks! -
After I installed HF4, and finally got my aircraft.cfg files updated, everything was going along just great. Smooth VC, no CTD, panel freezes, fps seemed a little better, just enough new stuff to keep it interesting, etc. But when I looked at an outside view to get the jetway to come to the doors, and I noticed the only things showing were the wings, front doors, airstairs, nose cone, and the secret PMDG cockpit box. It's really not the classic "skeleton" because there are just a few parts visible. I tried reloading several times at different locations, no help. I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't figure it out. Little help, please? TIA Dennis

Hey gang, weird problem here. I have tried to figure out what is going on, but I have a MISSING radar bezel in the Moo and Lear in v4.1. There's just a gaping black hole there (keep it clean, fellas, lol). If I use the popup, I can turn on the radar and the screen (where the gaping hole is in my panel) lights up and functions correctly, but I can't see the knobs (do the puns never stop?) or the frame/bezel that should be modeled in the panel. Has anyone got a clue about how to fix that or what may have caused it? Many thanks!

I have the problem with T7 as follow: after saving an flight by fsx the T7 is missing completly - the screen will be black. You can hear all of the T7 or/and FSX but you see flickery only. The second i do uninstall acceleration pack from the windows remote and will reinstall i get this problems right now. The T7 missing complety with no black screen (in full screen) and the T7 is missing the wings. Please could you give me some help??!

Recently I bought p3d v4. I installed pmdg 737, 777 and QW 787. Today I started a flight and the textures were kind of orange missing. Help please. I don´t have installed ORBX

Hello, I'm building an app that shows the airports, ndb, and vor within the area around the aircraft. I'm having a problem that some random airports are missing and I can't figure out why. I compiled the code from Microsoft's sample here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730341.aspx and I am seeing the same behavior. It looks like the NDB's and VOR's are accurate when I request them. I found a similar thread from 2007 but there were no replies http://forum.avsim.net/topic/224183-simconnect-airports-missing-from-list/ and I'm just wondering if there is any way to get around this issue and return all airports. Clearing the cache is not working for me. Here is an example from one of my customers: It does look like this issue still exists in Prepar3D v2. I'm hoping there is some magic incantation that can fix this. Thanks -
Hi peeps. I´m having trouble with my ESGG scenery by Swedflight (nowadays freeware). I have not flown to ESGG many times, but a few months ago I realized that the ILS was not working.. (I got to realize this the hard way.. Coming in to lock on the VOR in low visibility.. it ended with me doing four laps and then finally getting her down on the visual) Anyway.. I tried different AFCADs back and forth but no luck.. I finally decided to remove the scenery and re-install. STILL no ILS/VOR... And the problem is that when I open the actual AFCAD file in AFX, and then choose "Navaids", that window is totally blank. I cannot either try and add a new ILS, since the "Select Runway" drop down list is also blank... I had some contact with a fellow swedish simmer who sent me another AFCAD, with which he had good navaids, but ALSO THAT FILE, did not have any Navaids when I checked it... Does ANYONE have a clue here??? Kind regs /Johan

Hello,Screenshot I have recently purchased P3D v4 and am in the process of installing all of my Carenado and Aleabo aircraft. They install correctly however interior textures are missing every time. Usually it's the roof texture or something like that. I do not have the anti virus turned on when doing the install so that should not cause an issue. I have tried to install multiple times and it still does not work and i have downloaded the most current installer from the website and still nothing. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Just updated the OC version. When that completed I clicked on the update for the 747v3 - however, I keep receiving the following error message: "The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer.Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem" Of course I googled the dll file, and the common factor is related to Visual C++. However, I'm fairly certain my PC is up to date. Any thoughts/suggestions? Steve

When I load the PMDG 737-800 NGX, the fan blades and spinners in the engine intakes are missing, the beacons appear as steady burn lights rather than flashing lights, and the landing lights have different combinations of being on or extended (often different between the left and right sides) in disagreement with the landing light switches. I've tried reloading the aircraft many times, restarting FSX many times, restarting the computer, reinstalling the liveries, and even repairing the entire 737 8/900 installation. The problem persists. I've had the for a few months and did not experience these problems until a couple days ago. I've considered reinstalling FSX, but frankly, I'd rather not if there's a better way of fixing this. Thank you for your time. -Nathan Theriault

I noticed that every forum entry that was made by Rob Ainscough (Sim Horizon https://simhorizon.com/ ) has vanished (AGAIN), is he OK? any body knows any thing about him if he is doing well? I'm not trying to be nosy here but he used to be a good contributor to the community and I miss his constructive arguments, wish him and every one all the best. Ali A.

I am experiencing a problem with my PMDG 747. On my pfd it should say 10000 on the altitude dial but it only says 100 with alot of spaces in between the numbers. The problem is not only for FL 100 its also for all the other fl's too. I have attached some pictures to show the problem.

Hello All, I am writing in regards to an issue that, so far, havent found in the forums. When moving camera angles to view the outside of the PMDG MD-11 the only part of the plane I see is the cockpit. The rest of the entire plane is missing. Im able to see the shadow of the plane being casted on the ground, but the plane itself is not there. Im currently running Windows 7 and FSX. Also, when using the PMDG 747 I can see the exterior of the plane. Thank you in advance. Carlos E.

for some reason, almost al of my instrument panel views have gone! Whenever i load a plane in fsx and do the key command for the GPS for example, a black box flickers where it should b and then disappears! then when i click on the views, instrument views button on the FSX toolbar, its show a tick next to the GPS button even when its not there. This happens for almost all my instrument views but then some still work. Also, not sure if this is relevant or not, but i dont seem to have a Gauges folder in the FSX files (not sure if there had ever been one though!) Anyway, hope someone can help,

Hi, I uninstalled Flight Toolkit then reinstalled. However, it did not reinstall the Flight Toolkit folder in Program Files. Where is flight toolkit even installed? I can't seem to find it or the tools it provides. And after I uninstall it, My MS Flight is still in the toolkit "mode", but I have uninstalled it. How does this work? Where is it installing and how do I remove it so I can do a proper install? Thanks, Aaron. -
For some reason the in flight menu bar that appears when you hover at top of frame doesn't always appear. This is the bar that allows you to access Settings, Plug-ins and other stuff. Sometimes it shows up but other times I can't access it? Assuming it's a bug but maybe I'm doing something wrong in XP11? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Yeah I just reinstalled windows 7 on my iMac and I have updated my windows sound drivers. Under available sound devices on the FMC under settings there are no devices available at all. I am missing some sounds like when I push button in the cockpit or the air conditioning sounds; I'm also missing the voices for the pushback option as well as the ding when you turn on the fasten seat belt sign. Do i have a corrupt sound file? any ideas? Ryan Patch

I installed FTX Global with no issues today, but when I start a flight at night I don't see any 3d lightning on streets or cities. FTX Lightning is activated in FTX Central 2 but the rest seems to be fine.
