I'm curious if I misspelled it then forgive me my spelling is terrible, also I have FSC (flight sim commander) and was wondering if I need to rebuild the database every time I update the navdata?

A database rebuild is not required if you only update the monthly navdata supplied by Navigraph or Aerosoft's subscription services.

 

A database rebuild should be done whenever you add (or delete) airport scenery - as any changes to runways, ILS approaches and parking areas of the modified airports will not appear in FSC until a rebuild is accomplished.

I can't answer the FSC question, but I think you were wanting to know how often waypoints change too. It seems to depend on the area. Some fixes used for DPs and STARs or IAPs don't change much or very often. Other areas change a lot. Someplace that's busy and changing often like KORD possibly changes every cycle. Others remain pretty consistent. Other times it's minor corrections that are found after the published cycle.

 

A lot of times they will simply change altitude or airspeed restrictions on a plate.

 

Unfortunately the database in FSX and P3D is static so it's sometimes hard to correlate the data depending on the aircraft and airports.
