January 4, 200323 yr I'm looking at purchasing it along with a copy of Fly2. I have a few questions:1. Is the FMC pretty much fully functional? As in close to 767PIC standards?2. Are there more screenshots to be had of the panel/exterior. (exterior isn't really a big deal to me btw)Thanks a lot for your input
January 4, 200323 yr Stratus F,There really isn't a direct answer to your question...I use both, and they have distinctly different "personalities" while the basic functionality remains the same. For my purposes, the two key differences are that in the 767PIC FMC, the Cost Index function seems to work, as does the RTE 1/RTE 2 function. That said, I started with the PMDG 757 FMC and had no trouble transitioning to the 767PIC...they're that close. One other note, as a courtesy to a new guy...the moderators of this forum are very particular about requiring people to post with their actual names. (Think of it as "flame retardant" I guess.) End of Public Service Announcement. :-)

January 4, 200323 yr Hello, The 757 is just amazing! This is my favourite Boeing, and PMDG have done great and it's worthy to hold the 757 title lol!! Everything is just soo amazing. Obviously from 767PIC you are missing a few buttons such as the fuel dump and some cargo switches, but nothing that is going to affect your safe flight! There is something very special about this bird. I like the wind sound when you extend the spoilers...gives you a feeling of being there....adds to realism...the 757 is full of little things like that..I say go and get it....;DRegards, http://www.jet-precision.com/mattwork/IFDG_MM.jpg P.S See about pic 4 my name MoD'S HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
January 4, 200323 yr Thanks guys, think I'll get it. BTW, if you need to know my name see my profile. ;-)
January 5, 200323 yr Commercial Member Okay Greg Schneider.... ;-)We have maintained a requirement for 3+ years that posters in the PMDG support forum sign all posts using their actual names. We do this because in our experience, people tend to get less fractious when they know a person by name, rather than a hidden knickname....I've been a bit lax in imposing this requirement in the forum during the past few months- so don't worry about your previous post- I'm not. (Aside from which- I haven't posted the occasional "forum guidelines" in some time....thanks for reminding me!)Hope you picked up the 757 and are enjoying it. We have quite a few experts on the airplane hanging around the forum- so by all means drop by with any questions/issues you might have along the way.Also- be sure to pick up the repaint liveries done by Pete Sterling and our own Vin Scimone...they are in the AVSim file library- or you can get to them from our own site in the DOWNLOADS section...Happy new Year!Robert S. January 13, 200323 yr Hey Stratus_Fractus!You might remember me from the PSS forums. The PMDG 757 (and 777) which I both own are on the same level of quality as the PSS stuff. It's hard to compare them because of the differences in the base simulators. I do think Fly2 causes some limitations, while adding some interesting plus. Right now I'm flying about with the PSS stuff but I'm certain I'll go back and fly the PMDG planes again. Really, the only reason I still play Fly2 is because of the 777 and the 757. Oh yeah, and the Aurora 200 is nice too. :)I think you'll be pleased with the PMDG 757, give it a try!Tim Dobrowolsky
January 13, 200323 yr >of this forum are very particular about requiring people to >post with their actual names. He signed it "Greg" which to me sounds like a real name. And I am "Michael J." - are you telling me without the "J." I would be illegal ? :-hmmmMichael J. Michael J.
