January 11, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hey "Tailwind"- (please put your real name next time)I am certainly aiming for curved lines on the ND. We are not comparing ourselves to other products that currently exist (that's your job ;-)), but we're aiming for "as close to reality as possible".New screenshots are actually coming within the next week... (possibly of the EICAS, but we'll see...) The ND is a bit down the line...Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
January 11, 200323 yr >>curved lines on the NAV display? The PIC-team did such >fabulous job in their 767 I admit I am bit out-of-practice using the 767PIC but are you sure about those curved lines ? The only curved lines I recall are the green arcs for fixes/distances and descent cue and holding pattern, I have no recollection of the curse line (magenta, white) being curved to help with waypoint intercepts. I don't see any such curved lines in the PIC manuals either. Michael J.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg Michael J.
January 11, 200323 yr There may be curved lines with sufficient zoom. My memory is hazy ...Michael J. Michael J.
January 12, 200323 yr Commercial Member Gents-I am aiming for "fly-to" and "fly-over" waypoints, just as in the real world Nav Display. The ones that aren't "fly-over" and can afford the turn anticipation calculation built-in will (hopefully!) display nice, curved lines that show exactly what the flight path will be...(And all this for much less than a gazillion dollars!!!)Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
January 13, 200323 yr Way COOL! I have a question on the GPWS system. Will the warnings be triggered by: 1] Excessive Decent Rate 2] Excessive Terrain Closer Rate 3] Altitude Loss After Takeoff 4] Unsafe Terrain Clearance 5] Below Glideslope Deviation Best Wishes,Randy J.
