January 20, 200323 yr Hi all (Hey Robert, remember me?).I am wondering if a BBJ flightmodel will be offered in the package, since it is the same aircraft as the 737NG, just with, usually, a little bit bigger seats :-).That would be wonderful for us Bizz Jets nuts, and it would only require you guys to make a new flight model with different fuel capacity. I have modified the FFG BBJ's flight model to reflect the BBJ with the maximum 9 auxiliary fuel tanks, since the flight model they provided was the same as the normal 737NG, so the range wasn't there. In order to have the 6,500 nm range I increased fuel capacity and it worked fine.Just today I see FFG has updated their 737NG/BBJ flight models to reflect a difference in between the two, adjusting the BBJ's range, so apparently I am not the only one that likes these super-long-range jets :-).Anyways, just a thought, would like to know what Precision Manuals thinks.
January 20, 200323 yr Commercial Member Fabio-Of course I remember you! Glad to see you back around these parts!Yes- we do plan to release a BBJ version. This version will have a rather unique cabin interior, as well as some options for personalized external paint!I spent a portion of my development time yesterday programing the fule balance system on the airplane to account for a varying number of extra center fuel tanks. It should work out wonderfully for BBJ fans.We will have a number of cockpit options that are unique to the BBJ also...so that should excite you!Robert S. January 22, 200323 yr Who needs the real plane when you have PMDG eh? Great news Robert and Team, this 737 is going to be a perfect add-on and will sit nicely next to my -- dare I say it -- BUS lol... http://www.jet-precision.com/mattwork/MBANNER.jpg
May 6, 200422 yr Hey Rob,any news about BBJ???I would love to fly the B737NG as a BBJ. So, does your air file is fit for BBJ already and how should I edit the aircraft.cfg to reflect a BBJ? I dont care so much about the BBJ VC cabin layout or the extra in the cockpit. But can the FMC fly a BBJ already? Regards, Torben Hadler
May 9, 200422 yr Hi Robert,Key question here is whether the BBJ will be an addon for the NG (like the 738/9) or part of a future patch/update ?regards,ThomasBTW, great idea for the BBJ, it shall keep me busy while waiting for the 747 ;-)
