February 25, 200323 yr Commercial Member Good Morning, Gents! One of the things that we strive to avoid at PMDG is the announcement of release dates. We do this in large part because a development project of the type required for our 737NG product line includes a number of potential pitfalls. These pitfalls can't be predicted, and they can only push your release date outward....Thus, we have some internal deadlines to our development cycle, but we don't discuss them publicly in case we need to move them in order to complete our airplane as we see fit.In the past, we have shown you occasional screenshots of the airplane while in development in order to satisfy your curiousity! We have taken a *slightly* more conservative approach to this development cycle, and we haven't shown you nearly as much of the early development screenshots as we normally do....The down side to this approach is that we are literally bursting at the seams with excitement to show you our new airplane! Why is this the down side?heh heh heh heh heh...Well- very shortly we are going to start showing you some images of an airplane unlike any we think you have ever seen. From the minute details of the external model to the high fidelity of the flight displays, to the flexibility of user selectable internal views, to the most minute detail of the airplane's electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems...... This airplane exceeds any project we have produced yet, and will meet or exceed the expectations of even the most detail oriented simulator pilot. It is nearly time to begin the process of ramping up the excitement level.... I know that all of us on the PMDG team are champing at the bit to show you what we have been slaving on for the past few months.... That time is nearly here!Currently we have run a couple of Alpha versions of the airplane, and the external model, virtual cockpit, standard cockpit, flight model and FMC are coming together nicely! We'll have a few more updates for you on progress, and of course- some screenies!Stay tuned!Robert S.
