March 19, 200323 yr Hi,will the 737NG have the IRS modelled?Looking at the latest screenshots of the overhead, there was no IRS on the panel.ThanksMark
March 19, 200323 yr Marc, not even 'BETA stage'... they're still develloping so... no need to go of on things that may just have not yet been created...I think they'll add it, after all, can't be THAT hard :( :( :(cheers
March 20, 200323 yr Lenny,Was on a 737-700 at work last night, for the first time in a while.I made a mistake looking at the overhead panel screenshot and assuming that the IRS was missing - It is not.The IRS exists on a sub panel That lies near horizontal, and is between the overhead and Jumpseat Position.Maybe Wallace could post a pic, showing exactly where it lies.Mark McGrath
March 20, 200323 yr I'll see what I can do Mark, Its a pain taking pics here, Im required to get a camera pass every time I bring a camera in .
March 20, 200323 yr Wallace,I work for a ground handling agent in the UK as a Load Controller, basically doing loadhseets and weight and balance calculations.Usually work with 757's, BAe 146's, Dash 8Q400's, A320's.In the summer months also work with 767's, A330's, 737-300's,400's,700's& 800's & many others. Getting to work with a Tupolev TU154 this summer. Have worked with an AN26 in the past.Last night was on GSTRD, of Astreus which diverted into GLA due fog at EDI.Have been on all of Air Europa and Futura's 737-800 fleet.1 of the other airlines I work with, Eurocypria, is getting 737-800s soon.Mark
March 20, 200323 yr Wallace, don't put your self to any trouble. I was that used to seeing IRS panels on the Overhead, that I was shocked when I saw the preview screenshots without one. Then when I was on an NG flightdeck for the first time in a few months, I noticed the correct location.Mark McGrath
March 20, 200323 yr Sounds great Mark working with all those different aircraft,Im usually just with 757's or 737NG's, hey we just delivered a Eurocypria yesterday, that was their 2nd -800, they had a big ceremony for their first .How are those russian aircraft? I have been on the AN124 ,it comes here quite often and parks in our ramp area, its like stepping back in time looking at some of the equipment on that thing. I dont think I would care to fly on it.
March 20, 200323 yr Wallace, Glasgow awesome stuff. Was over at GLA a week or two ago picking some people up off a flight (G-OOAP AMM454D from GCTS) Anyway it's a nice airport, EDI's nice too but EDI's a bit closer... http://www.jet-precision.com/mattwork/MBANNER.jpg
March 20, 200323 yr Well to be more precise, the IRS's MCU {mode selector unit}is on the Aft Overhead Panel. Best Wishes, Randy J.
