Good Morning!Since showing our latest round of images, I have been literally overrun with requests for beta testing. ;-)So that everyone understands how we assemble our beta team, I thought I would post some information here!During the course of doing business, each of us at PMDG have come to know quite a few people in the community. We have also had a number of folks come to our attention through their contribution to the community or specific expertise in the aviation and/or simulation field. We are in the process of reviewing the list of names we have assembled and are preparing to offer invitations to a number of folks. Some we know- some we dont....As we assemble this team, we are looking for a few things:1) Pilots with verifyable operational experience in the NG line of 737s2) Individuals with specific operational experience/support knowledge of the airplane.3) Individuals with sim development experience4) Individuals with strong MSFS background/computer experience. We balance our team this way in order to ensure that we have experts in areas related to flying the airplane while also having experts in the airplane's systems or the operation of the airplane in the airline environment. In our experience (particularly MY experience) we have found that airline pilots and mechanics don't always make great beta testers because they can't tell you much about the interface with the user or the simulator- so this is why we bring in the sim development experience and the computer and Flight Sim experienced members... This way we have folks on the team who will help us address such issues as installation software, interface and user options.So.. HOW CAN YOU JOIN THIS TEAM?Sit on your hands. :-lolWe will be picking a few beta testers from the crowd that frequents our forum here at AVSim.... We will do our best to make that selection process as fair as possible, but it is important that you adhere to this one guideline: DO NOT EMAIL PMDG AND ASK TO BE ON THE BETA TEAM.We will provide instructions on how to apply for a beta team position right here in the forum! If you email us, you will not get a reply from PMDG- nor will we consider your request....I greatly appreciate your consideration in this regard. Currently we are rapdily approaching the end of the difficult part of the development phase- and we don't have much time to give polite answers to all the requests we are receiving.... For that we are truly sorry- but we are sure you will understand!So... Nice looking airplane, eh? :-coolRobert S. Hello to whom this may concern,My name is Adam and I beta test for Captain Sim and various other products and was wondering whats the chance I can help you guys. I have a close personal friend who flies for Southwest Airlines and flies the NG series regularly. I am very experienced in MSFS and know a little about programming some basic stuff. If you are interested please let me know. I am also very intelligent in A/c Recognition and know minor small details that are important to the a/c. I have every rating Commercial SEL MEL Flt instructor SEL MEL, and just don't have my ATP. I have experience in many different a/c and have flown in a few jets. Thank you very [email protected]

hehehe, i really like the animations, makes me feel like a 6 year-old again... lolbeen going over the normal procedures for takeoff, approach and landing now(e.g. dual/single/only FD autopilot approaches and their limitations + effects especially on the Go arounds....Cheers

Hi Guys,I'd like to put in a recommendation for Steve Weiher. He's a Captain on the -700/800, long time FS user and gauge programmer for HJG's (DC8 panels). His interest and knowledge in this airplane goes quite a ways beyond the average 737 pilot and I think he'd be a major asset to PMDG during beta testing. You may have his e-mail address on file but if not, let me know and I'll send it to you.Best Regards,Andrew ReynoldsCalgary, Canada
