May 17, 200323 yr hey,i am about to get a new computer system. the thing i wonder about is whether to buy a TFT flatscreen or a "normal" tube monitor.with the TFT screens the max. resolution is limited to mostly 1280x1024 (17") which is way less than 1600x1200 that you usually get with an ordinary 19" monitor.since my primary use for a computer is flight simulation i Denis Kosbeck KPHX

Our cocpkpit is developed in 1280x960, and there is a strong liklihood that this will be bumped upward as we begin working on the 800/900.Personally I have looked at the same display replacement as you. I have a nice 19" flat-screen tube that cranks all the way up high...and until I find a nice suitable replacement for it in terms of resolution capability I'm sticking with what I have...I did find a nice Apple manufactured flat screen that was about $2,000.... but it was a bit expensive for my uses... ;-) Robert S.
