May 17, 200323 yr From what I read about the system details and fidelity I couldn't think about any other plane that would qualify that much for building a cockpit than your 737NG.As I have read in older messages, cockpit builders might get definable keys and also providing seperate displays via network seems to be planned. That sounds great already, but there's one more little issue and that's the display values for the MCP.I'm far from being an electronic expert, but if I understood it correctly, it would require providing the values (or offsets) of speed, heading, altitude, V/S, etc., to programs like FSUIPC or others. Would PMDG provide those ?I have read the Aerosoft 747MCP will be supported, but I would prefer more authentic solutions like these : http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/Nova/B7...37mainglare.htmMichael
May 18, 200323 yr Commercial Member Michael-We'll see. Currently we are only planning on the Aerosoft MCP. Lefteris has a plate that is so full it really makes both of us a bit uncomfortable- so I'm not even going to say we'll consider it until a later date...Thanks for asking tho! Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
May 18, 200323 yr Robert, thanks for the answer !Was not meant as an attempt to put something on Lefteris plate now. If I understood it correctly, these cockpit building support stuff was planned for a much later stage anyway ?Just you policy regarding this would have been interesting. Could make the difference between having to go for expensive Project Magenta software or not. However, I'll ask again later :)Michael
May 23, 200323 yr I second the request for FSUIPC offsets for this promising package. Such a list would open up for flying this beauty with number of third party hardware setups. Can't wait.Vidar EggenOslo - Norway
May 23, 200323 yr Commercial Member Vidar-we're REALLY focusing on releasing the aircraft package right now. Once this is done, I have already promised to have something for cockpit builders.Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
