June 11, 200322 yr G'day, Quick Q about the FMC, it possibly could be covered in a post before, however Ill ask anyway. With the FMC and VSpeeds, will it calculate it Automatically for you? Thanks guys,===============Sean McCormackOzFast Hostingwww.ozfast.com.au
June 11, 200322 yr No VSPEEDS QRH option implemented, but ... yes if you LSK right of each one when blank...(fairy dust option implemented, likewise for gross weight)Anthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
June 11, 200322 yr AnthonyCould you be a little more specific. So if we use right mousebutton (like PSS) for the Vspeed LSKs, it will show the correct values ? yes ?Also, what do you mean by "no vspeeds qrh implemented" and "fairy dust option implemented" ?regardsTero PPL(A)
June 12, 200322 yr - if you use the left button on LSK where VSpeed is blank, the computed value will pop up.- with the VSPEEDS QRH ption you would have the computed speed displayed upfront, and would have to confirm them. Not the case here.- the "left click and you go" thing is not realistic, but an aid to lazy people like me not wanting to dig deep in the ref handbook... So I call it the fairy dust option... just sprinkle some and marvellous things start happening.Over and out ;-)Anthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
June 12, 200322 yr >Over and out ;-)No evil intentions, I just couldn't resist posting (was bored, too, can't wait for the 737NG to be released):Over = transmission has ended, I am now waiting for a response.Out = transmission has ended, but I am not waiting for a response."Over and out" is a paradox. Oh, and I wished people quit saying "Roger that" all the time... ;-)Now what to do with the rest of the time until the first series is released?-Florian
June 12, 200322 yr Commercial Member Florian-Roger that. We'll pass the word on the over-and-out deal. ;-)Actually- OaO is a pet pieve of mine also. it's a "hollywoodism" that sounds cool to the uninitiated.I've been saying "Roger that!" since I was about 5, so I'm not going to offer any hope there- but my PERSONAL pet pieve radio phrase is, "copy."For some reason people at our line thing this is an acceptable way to respond to requests for services. (Calling for lav service, cabin cleaning, etc.) Somehow the phrase "copy" to my request doesn't ackknowledge that they understand my request and will comply... So- I'm with you on those radio-isms....Copy? Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com

June 12, 200322 yr hehe isn't roger wilco a real one, i have actually heard that a couple of times. ONe more q, i thoguht 3.5 is a fake radio phrase (like its supposed to be three thousand five hundred). How come i hear it soo much?
June 17, 200322 yr Commercial Member A lot of the stuff you hear listening to real world ATC isn't proper "by the book" phraseology... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
June 17, 200322 yr You got that right, Ryan.I was with Boston Approach and Boston Center yesterday (C-172), and you hear so much improper phraseology, most of it by the "big boys" or by small boys trying to sound like big boys. Things like "no joy" (should be "negative contact") and "thirteen point five" (should be "one three thousand five hundred") come to mind.Lee Hetherington (KBED)PP-ASEL
