June 11, 200322 yr Commercial Member Captains-You will be happy to know that beta testing is progressing very well on BOEING 737: THE NEXT GENERATION 600/700 package! We released the initial beta to our team late last week and they have been putting it through a range of tests involving every aspect of the airplane. We have been assessing and tracking the reports they are making- and the advent of software designed specifically to help them log and report bugs/issues has made our work of tracking/assigning and closing bugs/issues much simpler than on past projects! We have spent the week tracking items reported and making some major product adjustments based on the feedback from the team- and we are in the process of preparing the next Beta version for them to look over.I am extremely pleased with the skills and enthusiasm of the team we have chosen- and they have made the process of ironing out the wrinkles in our airplane enjoyable (and AMUSING!) for all of us on the team!It is our goal to release "the perfect airplane" from the simmer's standpoint This is taking much more work than we imagined at the outset of this project back in October- but the results of the hard work are really starting to show a high gloss! For those that are wondering why our testing team isn't plastering screen captures of the airplane all throughout the forum- you should know that they WANT to.... I placed a very heavy restriction on them . I did this because the airplane has been undergoing a cosmetic update for the past few weeks, and I didn't want to create confusion for folks who have reacted negatively to "in development" posts in the past.In short, the airplane is nearly finished- and the testing is going extremely well! She'll be in your hangars soon! June 11, 200322 yr Thanks for keeping us updated at every stage of development, other developers should learn from u :)BTW I m glad ur improving the panel bitmaps, I hope to see something photorealistic(something like captain sim and dreamfleet)Finally something that will replace 767 PIC ;)
June 11, 200322 yr Replace 767PIC? I doubt it. Different planes. I think they'll complement each other... Big plane (PIC 767), medium plane (PMDG for NG, DF for classics) and small plane (PSS Dash 8). All the airliners sizes are covered!! :)Cheers,http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/12447.jpgMember of the [a href=http://ffg.avsim.net" target="_blank]Freeware Flight Group [/a]
June 11, 200322 yr They all compete with each other! Which is most realistic. I'd say PIC767, so far anyway. ;-)BTW - What is the engine start like on your NG?Paul
June 11, 200322 yr Hi Paul,The procedure is as close to anything I have seen on the market to date. :-) :-)George George Morris
June 11, 200322 yr Hi George,What I mean is do the N1 speeds jump up when fuel is selected then settle like default aircraft?Paul
