June 17, 200322 yr Commercial Member I was flying into LGAL (Alexandroupolis), as one of my (many) test flights, and had drawn this on our FMC / ND:Hope this quenches your thirst for panel graphics (for now)...By the way - the colors on the PFD are example colors - they can be (and are!) altered, as one of many user-defined options in our aircraft. I just find them easier to the eye! ;-)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/public/alx_arc.jpg Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
June 17, 200322 yr Holy cow!! That looks like one AMAZING set of graphics there, I cannot wait to dowload this baby! I am definately going to be the first person buying this, and thanks a ton for answering our DME-Arc questions.
June 17, 200322 yr See, THAT's what I'm talking about. Looks nice. :)Cheers,http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/12447.jpgMember of the [a href=http://ffg.avsim.net" target="_blank]Freeware Flight Group [/a]
June 17, 200322 yr by any chance are you able to tell us what the MZALFORTI stands for? like i know it calls up different panels, I was hoping you could describe the function of each of those in a little more detail?
June 17, 200322 yr Wow! Your 737 seems to become THE standard for short/medium hauls as PICs 767 IMO is for long hauls. Thanks again for your outstanding work! And, please take all the time you need to complete beta-testing as it will be a pleasure to get a mature, not bug-loaded product. I will with pleasure wait several more weeks for the release.regards,
June 17, 200322 yr G'day,Graphics look fantastic. May I ask what screen resolution you run FS in please?Regards,
June 17, 200322 yr >by any chance are you able to tell us what the MZALFORTI>stands for? I would assume they're the first letter of what the panels the buttons open are called.Cheers,http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/12447.jpgMember of the [a href=http://ffg.avsim.net" target="_blank]Freeware Flight Group [/a]
June 17, 200322 yr Great shot however, if you are a real NG pilot can you not program in a DMe arc say 25nm radius from 90 to 180 degrees without making lots of individual waypoints? Just a start and finish waypoint? Also, if you select an approach, say an ILS/DME approach to RWY28 at Dublin EIDW, you must fly a DME arc to establish on the LOC. Does the FMC not have this info hard programmed into it as a DME arc, or does it create lots of separate waypoints?Paul
June 17, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Paul-nope. There is no possibility for a straight arc drawing without the individual waypoints. However, the SIDs and STARs can have the arcs, by means of those waypoints, but you will see each one drawn on the screen. What's more, the aircraft flies the arc perfectly, as well.(We have to draw the line somewhere, don't we? ;-) )There. I've said it ;-).Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
June 17, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Daniel-you got it!M - Main PanelZ - Zoom PanelA - Approach PanelL - Landing PanelF - FMC (CDU)O - Overhead PanelT - Throttle Quadrant PanelR - Radio Stack PanelI - INS PanelThis is not entirely complete yet, and might change by release date, so don't hold me to it.Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
June 17, 200322 yr Hi,So does the real plane also have the separate DME waypoints in the same circumstances, or can it just use entry and exit points for the ARC ?Also, I noticed that the engine parameters for both engines are 100% identical. Is there an option that the engines would differ from one another a little, so as to make it "more real" once again :) ?regardsTerops. as a hardcore PIC767 user I'm really looking forward to the release, they say this might be of "some competition to PIC" ;) PPL(A)
June 17, 200322 yr Hi Lefteris,Can you please post a shot of a SID/STAR selected direct from the FMC, with no pilot manipulation, that requires the aircraft to fly a DME Arc.Many Thanks,Paul
June 17, 200322 yr Lefteris, That looks excellent. Is there any chance of having the speed intervention option and altitude intervention option on the A/P.There is no other way to manually control speed in VNAV, than FMC entries on the legs page without going to LVL CHG or V/S or A/T disconnect. On all other boeings this is a permanent feature other that the 737.
June 17, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Wallace-I am aware of the SPD INTV and ALT INTV options of the MCP. ;-)We could possibly negotiate PMDG adding those options in the 800/900, for a fraction of the cost of the real thing (especially for you Wallace, of course!) ;-) ;-) ;-)Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
June 17, 200322 yr WOW! Lefteris, that means I only have to cash one of my paychecks and sell my house , I can't afford asking for any more options. :)
