http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/030617/sftu030_1.htmlThis is the link to the new information, along with a pic of the new design. I love it, its about time they did it. I love ATA's and think this will be a lot of fun to look at. Just wondering if PMDG will make two paints of the Southwest in winglets and without.ThanksAdam [email protected]

I hope a Qantas 737-800 livery will be released soon with the panel.

nice.

Ah Pete, give yourself more credit. The aircraft is very well done as is the shot taken. ;-)...Good Day.Jay BirchCFI,CFII,MEIMobile, ALwww.clearedasfiled.com

Great job!, one thing could do with improving though. The yellow is far too bright and a bit green, it's more deeper and slightly more orange. The pic below will show you what i mean! Look forward to it!!http://www.airliners.net/open.file/362861/L/

Oh...here we go again with the color expertise....One item to remember is that color appearance varies greatly with ambient lighting. The lighting in the image your are looking at is significantly different than the lighting in the photograph. Hence- the two look different.I was at KBWI a few months ago and I'd swear that this airplane was PURPLE based on lighting. I sat behind one in line for takeoff at KORF a few weeks ago and it looked sky blue.So...Pete's done a great job with color matching. It's what he does.

>Oh...here we go again with the color expertise....>>Pete's done a great job with color matching. It's what he>does. Hey calm down!,:) it was just constructive critisism-I was only trying to improve the look on the fantastic model!. Seriously though..it may just be the lighting but it looks way off in that pic!, i have seem many SW 737's and painted them.

Ben, the non shadowed side of the plane does look a bit different. Colors, as you know, are sometimes tough to match and we use as many sources to check our work as possible, eliminating what looks wrong to us. As you know, and as Rob has pointed out, FS lighting is actually pretty good, so much so that it'll color cast depending on shadowing and time of day. Rest assured that if after release changes to liveries need to be made, w'lll make them. We don't want anyone using a livery that's not as close to real as we can possibley make it. We've all been in that boat so I know I'm preaching to the choir, so to speak ;-)

I would think that if you go to the livery's web site, the colors they use for their logo would match exactly. Where I work, our company has a international standard for color, font, font size, etc for all our publications and advertisements. But I'm sure you already know this...http://saltydogfly2.avsim.net/images/avsim_sig.jpg

As we have mentioned before, the winglet version will have different flight dynamics.Sincerely,
