July 2, 200322 yr Is there a way to get the VOR's to auto-tune? Or must we manually tune VOR's into the radio? I have the VOR switches on and see them at the bottom of the ND but they are not auto-tuning. Maybe they are not supposed to? Will NAV1 radio auto tune the ILS for the selected RWY in the FMC?Another quick clarification question, when climbing and using N1 on the MCP, this is supposed to be used in conjunction with V/S correct? Many thanks. By the way, this aircraft FDE is bloody rock solid. Awesome job on it!! And the sounds are great..unbelievable!! Eric
July 2, 200322 yr Commercial Member Eric-you must manually tune VORs into the radio. Thanks, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
July 2, 200322 yr Eric, the real 737 NG does not auto tune so either does this ;) I don't understand your second question? Set the desired speed in the IAS MACH window when using V/S. Thrust mode for V/S is MCP speed.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith[/h5][h6]The Next Great one? July 2, 200322 yr Author Sorry bout that Randy. Could you just explain how to use the N1 button on the MCP (how it is used). Thanks again for your patience. Eric
July 2, 200322 yr Commercial Member Pressing the N1 button is a bit of a rare occasion in the real world. N1 will formally push throttles to maximum allowed %N1. If you want to picture a "standard" scenario is losing an engine while cruising at FL380. Even then, however, the AT speed/mach mode will do it itself...Cheers,Vangelis=============================================== E. M.
