July 5, 200322 yr Can someone please tell were the TOGA switch is. I have set up the FMC and the vref speeds how do I get the aircraft to maintain these speeds.Andrew.
July 5, 200322 yr Andrew,It's the top left screw of the MCP. Notice the cursor changes into a hand for button pushing.I woulda' never found it myself either. :)Best,Bill
July 5, 200322 yr Author Bill,Thanks,Have you come across the problem of "Take of speeds deleted" on the FMC when you select a takeoff runway. If this a bug or am I doing something wrong. I never have this appear on the DreamFleet FMCAndrew
July 5, 200322 yr Andrew,Why problem ?It's not a bug. You're not doing something wrowng. It's an NG thing.Search the forum. But please, don't consider every difference with the DF is a problem, or wrong, etc.. :-) anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
July 5, 200322 yr Anthony,Umm, we didn't say it was a "bug". It was a "problem" - could be an operator problem. In any case, I have seen the message now. I assumed it was because I had entered something (out of order, maybe)in the FMC that required a re-calc of the V speeds. I cleared the message, completed my other FMC entires, went back to the proper page and LSK'd the V spds again. They popped in no problem. The flight proceeded without a hitch. No bug, just operator error.Best,Bill
July 5, 200322 yr Author I understand the solution to be to select the runway before setting the V - speeds.Andrew.
July 5, 200322 yr Commercial Member Yeah, the FMC takes the Runway length into account when it calculates the V-speeds, that's why it deletes the speeds if you change the takeoff runway, ZFW etc...Ryan Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
