Spoilers?

Featured Replies

Today I was flying MCO-ISP and while on approach to ISP I was using the spoilers to slow down a little but the only problem was when I went to retract them, they didn't fully retract, they were stuck. They were completely extended but about halfway up. Is this a flaw that PMDG knows about or was I doing something wrong. Can anyone help me fix this problem. Thanks,Daniel

They are aware of it. Just hit "Shift" + "/" and that brings 'em back down.

I dunno Daniel, meybe its a bug but meybe your mouse didn't 'grab' the spoiler handle properly. In any case you can simply hit slash once or twice (depending which way the handle goes on the first press). Not the most elegant solution but it should work.//Mike

The spoilers with me doesnt function: visually and also there is no decrease of speed. Is that normal?Coimbra

Use "/" to get them out then Shift-"/" back to armed position then Shift-"/" to get them completely retracted. As I observed in another thread real world spoiler braking action has nothing to do with the usual FS "parachute is out the tail" myth. Braking action is correctly modelled here so take account (and advantage) of this fact.Regards,Vangelis========================================= E. M. No they dont work it is one more bug !!!

they do work.Use the handle on the Throttle console, you'll see, no trouble EXCEPT, and PMDG knows this, i sent the bug report a few days ago, that in NIGHT LIGHTED mode(e.g. if the 'panel lights' are on) both flaps and speedbrake levers are rendered immobile...Cheers

They definitely work. Use spot view to confirm. If you have difficulties activating them, go to your FS assignment menu and change key assignment to something more easy to hit. BTW, the sound is really good.

I had the same problem. The spoilers deploy but cannot b retracted using the standard "/" key-assignment of MFS. Therefor I opened the throttle window to pul the slider back by mouse.I have read the previous reply that sais SHIFT-/ to put the spoilers back again. I will test that tonight when I am home.
