July 14, 200322 yr When I am in landing configuration and using the "Captain's view = A", I would like a quick way to turn off the autopilot and autothrottle when getting below 100 feet.. is there a keystroke or a cheat button on this panel that will accomplish this? Going to the main panel and mouse clickthe buttons takes too much time.. and the "Z" key seems to only partially disconnect.. Bert
July 14, 200322 yr On the MCP right below CMD A and B is the disengage button... :-)Sorry disengage this message lolAndr André
July 15, 200322 yr Author What I really need, is access to this disengage button on the "A" view..I find this view very useful for the landing phase since it gives a good perspective of the runway ahead.. but then when things start happening fast, I cannot hit the button to get to another view, and there hit the disengage button.. by then I am in trouble with my landing.. July 15, 200322 yr Wise people from PMDG did not make keystrokes for that at all. Very dissapointing...
July 15, 200322 yr Vitold -Forum guidelines stipulate that you sign your post with your real name. Thanks for complying :)BTW, because of the lack of keystrokes, you will have to switch to the 'm' or 'z' panels to disengage the AP. Sorry about that.
July 15, 200322 yr Author OK, for now.. let me simply add to the 737NG "wish-list" a simulated disengage button in the "A" view (maybe the lower MCP screw, not used for TOGA simulation), and/or some keystroke (user defined or otherwise e.g. ctl-shift-Z). This airplane really grows on me and I enjoy it more and more! Bert
July 15, 200322 yr I agree, a programmable keyboard/stick command is needed if possible. I don`t like to fool around with the mouse too much when landing :(
