Unable to save flight plan - Any help PMDG ?

Featured Replies

Hi I know this topic has cropped up before but having read all the threads i can find and followed their advice, i still can't save my flight plan.I've activated, executed it, got the "PRE FLIGHT COMPLETE" message - suggesting that i've input all the correct information but when i return to RTE page 1 and click the SAVE lsk - nothing happens. No file name appears in the scratchpad area or in the pmdgflightplansdirectory.Any assistance PMDG would be very much appreciated.Kind RegardsGary

Gary-Make sure you have activated the flight plan before trying to save... The only way I was able to duplicate the failed save on our end was to try and save without the flight plan being active...RSR

Hi RobertAs i stated in my original post, the flight plan has definitely been activated AND executed. I know this to be correct on 2 accounts, firstly, i've noticed that the SAVE option on ACT RTE page 1 doesn't appear until the plan has been EXEC'd - which itself doesn't occur (the light above the EXEC switch illuminating) until the route has been activated.Secondly, the flight plan in the ND turns from a dotted white line to a solid magenta line upon flight plan activation and execution. However, when i return to ACT RTE page 1 and click on SAVE, absolutely nothing appears in the scratchpad area, nor in pmdgflightplans directory. One other thing, i've been in contact with a guy who posted the same problem as myself and still hasn't heen able to get a fix for it...Hope this can be solved as having a 2 year daughter precludes me from sessions lasting longer than about an hour meening i desperately need to save the flight plans !!!Thanks againGary
