July 28, 200322 yr HiI've been reading with interest the views expressed within various threads concerning the up and comming patch to fix the numerous problems that people, like myself, are having with their purchase - although I personally, haven't got to the "I demand my money back" stage...yet. However, a thought struck me. Obviously, PMDG have got their anti-piracy security pretty well sussed out, as witnessed by the numerous compaints regarding registraion. So why didn't PMDG allow a free download and trial for say, 30 days. Within this period, bugs could be found, reported and hopefully sorted out WITHOUT the distractions of acrimonious cries from irate customers complaining and demanding their money back. Then, if like myself, people are having grief with PMDG sorting out their problem, after the 30 days, they just delete it from their hard drive. There's no doubt 737NG is or will be good, very good, so i suspect most people will be patient in waiting for the promised patch - but would they be more patient in the knowledge that they've parted with no cash until it does ???Just a thoughtGary
July 28, 200322 yr Probably for the simple reason that trialversions are among the most lucrative targets for crackers and other pirates.Unless the trialversion is a completely separate product (which would have people complain that it won't show them the problems with the full product...) they're always relatively easy to crack open for a somewhat accomplished cracker.
July 28, 200322 yr you must be kidding right?I mean a 10 day "grace period" isnt a free trial->its to allow sufficient time to get registered. No other software producer does this-why should PMDG?At the end of the day, despite it's problems it's a pretty good product, word of mouth and some reviews(which I'm just completing now) will provide for an accurate depiction of what the product is truly like.John

July 28, 200322 yr John, I totally agree. I'm really enjoying this plane and recommend it to anyone who ask about it! The sounds, the looks, the way it handles - simply gorgeous!/Krister Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------
July 28, 200322 yr GaryWithout the efforts of such pioneering teams like PMDG etc, you would be limited to FS aircraft - wow!Bob
