August 2, 200322 yr Having installed the patch in FS9 now the No1 engine won't start. Works fine in FS2002.No2 Engine starts OK.Any ideas?
August 2, 200322 yr I have this as well. Looks like we get the aircraft in FS9, but we must practice our single-engine procedures.Jeff
August 2, 200322 yr Same over here. Startng from a cold and dark Cessna situation with avionics on.Jos

August 2, 200322 yr Found a "solution" to the no start no.1. It seems it's a problem with switchology somewhere. When the engine is spooled up and just "sits there" at 4% N1 and 24-25% N2, go into "contorls" and the "assignment". Just Click the "OK" button there, and when the assignments window dissaperes, you hear a "click" sound (same sound as when you flip switches), and the engine starts! Don't know what "switch" has been activated, and I don't see any diferense to the switches in the panel, but it works for me, so I'm "happy"!
August 2, 200322 yr Someone mentions in this thread:http://forums.avsim.com/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=11835&page=that using the new gauge ini file provided by Robert allows for engine one to start. I have found this to be the case for me.try it.Jeff
August 2, 200322 yr Are you using FS2004?Because when i replace the *.ini-file, nothing changes.I have downloaded the patch at 0830z.Floris
August 2, 200322 yr Hmm... Strange. Or rather it's probably my computer that is strange! :) I've used this "trick" for 10-15 starts now, and it works every time. Don't know why it works for me, and I discovered it by coincidence. This is EXSACTLY what I did: Thinking that some "hidden" buttons (like the "avionics master switch" before the patch) regarding the fuel system was turned off, I went into the assignments meny to find something regarding the fuel system. Changed "Aux fuel pump on/off" to F and "Set fuel tranfer auto" to CTRL+F, thinking I could try and press these buttons to activate the "hidden" button. But to my suprise, when I pressed the "ok" button, the engine started! And after that this "trick" has been working every time for me...
August 2, 200322 yr I have just tried installing the new guage ini file but no change.No1 still won't start
August 2, 200322 yr The SU was updated with this fix it says. 'At 0750Z I replaced the installer with a new version to fix this little hiccup. (It was little- but could have bad results...)'I get the engine problem too.RegardsLee
August 2, 200322 yr I tried every suggestion in this thread, including the ctrl-shift-4 one, but nothing works. The right engine starts just fine, the left one doesn't want to 'catch'. I think the solution will have to come from PMDG.EDIT: I tried ctrl-shift-4 after opening the fuel cutoff valve, and this time it worked. It didn't when I tried to do it before starting the sequence.Paul
