August 4, 200322 yr General infoI have been struggling with very low fps (8-10 max) in FS9 and then when the patch came out it refused to load. I tracked the problem down to a file in the windows/system32 directory that was installed by my Kensington Expert Mouse Pro The file is kmw_dll.dll. I renamed it and the patch loaded without any more problems and FS9 fps went up to 20-23 on the ground and much higher in the air. Smooth as anyone could wish for.My system is D865Perl Intel mobo, P4 3.0G CPU and Radeon 9800.I will call Kensington tomorrow and see if they can help as I have to leave the filename changed when using FS9.Tom

August 4, 200322 yr Author High Robert,Please don't feel bad about not getting back as quickly as you would have liked to. You are doing a remarkable job under what has to be very trying circumstances and I appreciate it. In my opinion I think it is amazing these programs don't have a lot more problems when you consider all of the possible different combinations of hardware and software that are running at a time. Thanks again, you and your team are a class act. I suspect you will probably be looking forward to getting back into a real aircraft just to get some rest.Tom
August 4, 200322 yr I seem to be experiencing the same problem, it's occuring within 2D,3D and spot view. I have a brand new high end rig with nothing on it but FS9.

August 4, 200322 yr Author I just talked with MS and they said there is a known issue with this Kensington Mouseworks file which has been causing problems with MS games for sometime. If you have a Kensington mouse or trackball that uses Mouseworks I would sure rename the file and see if it helps. Once again the file is kmw_dll.dll and is in the windows/system32 directory.Tom
