What is that little radar scope or whatever it is on the 757 by the main gear. i was looking the the a/c when opening a new a/c in the "select a/c" drop-down and I noticed this little antenna under the aircraft that popped out from under a door. And when I used the aircraft it was hidden and closed. ANY HELP???

Sorry I thought there was a fire lol

LOL LOL ....OH NO>...MY chocolate has melted..I thought that was some kind of APU unit thingy that had like a propellor on it that would work if the engines failed whilst airborne or something or am I being completely silly and dreaming. Im sure I saw something like that in a movie once.Or maybe its a secret raygun to blast thoee AI planes out of the way when landing.Craig

I'm Being SERIOUS!!!

I am too..Im sure its some kind of engine starting mechanism that comes down under the plane incase the engines fail in mid air..the propellors spin in the air cos of the high speed and generate electricity which then helps the engines to start. Im sure its something like that, just hoping someone will answer it but Im almost certain thats what it is.Craig

Craig,Not to far off. It's probably the R.A.T. (Ram Air Turbine)Shouldn't be out unless you've lost both engines and are in need of some Emergency Hydraulics and Basic Electrics. As long as it goes away when you fire up the A/C I wouldn't worry about itPaul:-cool
