PMDG 737 and 2 monitors

Featured Replies

hi all,i have 2 17" monitors and i have stretched fs9 over the two monitors making a very big screen, actual resolution is 2048 x 768 and is quite impressive in VC mode, i just want to know if this panel will support this resolution in 2D and VC and more importantly will i need to go back to other screens to input data or can i do it all from VC or 2D mode.thanks

hi Tord, thanks for your information, well actually seeing the VC (default 737 and the VFR planes) at 2048 x 768 is really good and thus going back to 2D really spoils the immersion factor so to speak, yes i wish the VC was fully 3D so you could do everthing in 3D, like FMC input etc etc (something like the PICAirbus) cause with such a huge screen set up, it is really cool, anyhow if thats the case and nothing is due on yet till the -800 i may just have to buy a 21" and have the two for 2 day panels.Regards

Hi Clayton, Regardless if the VC will ever be full 3D, a 21" monitor is awesome! I have one and let me tell you, it puts you right in the cockpit. :-yellow1 >anyhow if thats the case and nothing is due on yet till the>-800 i may just have to buy a 21" and have the two for 2 day>panels.>>Regards>Regards,Chad C. >oh wow!>>mmm that sounds awesome, what resolutions do you run yours>on?>I have a Pentium 4, 1.7 Ghz processor with 512MB RAM with a 21" KDS monitor and 15" AOC monitor running on a ASUS 32MB video card and a 4MB Stealth Video Card that I found in the closet(upgrade in progress). I'm having difficulty sending a picture of my monitor/flightsim setup, if you or anyone else knows how to add a photo to this forum, please let me know and I'll post it. I tried to add an attachment from the option below and it said I uploaded successfully but when I viewed my message it didn't show the image?Regards,Chad C. DeMuth-OlsenPilot

That was a nice picture on your webpage, but I would like to see the difference from the chair view. I might just get two more 21" monitors if I like what I see! :-)Regards,Chad C. DeMuth-OlsenPilot

>hi Chad >>why dont you email me your photo, i will post it here for you>>send to [email protected]>Here are the images of my 737NG cockpit set up. If it doesn't post or show the links, I'll e-mail it to you. NOTE: The throttle is missing because I'm building my own at the moment. I'm using another joystick/throttle for now until I get the new throttle built.http://home.bresnan.net/~atc01/Images/MY737NGSIM_PIC1.jpghttp://home.bresnan.net/~atc01/Images/MY737NGSIM_PIC2.jpghttp://home.bresnan.net/~atc01/Images/MY737NGSIM_PIC3.jpgRegards,Chad C.
