Important Suggestion

Featured Replies

The PMDG 737 is the greatest 737 built in the history of flight simulator. And I mean that will all seriousness. However, an important part of flying is fuel. I cant find realistic fuel burn data anywhere. So my suggestion to the PMDG team is to look at PSS. They release a fuel calculator based on aircraft type, cruise altitude, reserves, total distance, etc. with all of their aircraft. I love this feature because it makes fuel calculation 10 times easier and more realistic. This is just a suggestion to make the already superior PMDG 737 an even more superior aircraft package. Is there by any chance a fuel plannner in the making or are ya'll thinking about puting it into the making or is it something you would not even consider?thanks for your time,

hi,here you go see if this helps...B737-700 avg/hrly burn 5700lbs/hr Or 95lbs/min4300lbs = :45 reserve2800lbs hold fuel = 30min100nm Alternate = 2200lbsStandard :15 Taxi=400lbs or 25lbs/minFuel Tanks = 46,100lbsAvg. TAS 440ktsI dont have the -600 data though. Andrew

Jase-thanks for your suggestion. We take each and every user comment very seriously, be sure of that.We have repeatedly thought of all the possible features and add-ons we could create, however we only have so much time to create everything. Thus, a fuel calculator might be something considered for the next version (the 800/900).Of course, this could also be done by other users, so feel free to start on it. When will you be done? (Your deadline is tomorrow! :-) :-) :-) )

LOL. Lefteris this is the part where I throw my hands in the air and bow down to you guys. I realize that the quality of the PMDG 737 is beyond comparison to any other 737 out there and the work that goes into an aircraft like this must be immeasurable. I know that I could never create an aicraft or a fuel planner. I couldnt even tell you where to start therefore I have the upmost respect for you developers that can produce magic. thanks for the reply and keep up the outstanding work.

Jase,I am in the process of doing a simple but yet accurate fuel planner for the NG. But as I'm also a beta tester and SU2 is around the corner I have to split my focus on both things, which when it comes to programming the fuel planner is not the best thing. But it is coming along nicely if rather slowly! ;-)The planner will take the following parameters in account: aircraft type, ZFW, OPT ALT, GC dist DEP to ARR, GC dist ARR to ALTN, Average winds aloft, Taxi time, Reserve time and Captains extra.Hope you can bare with me for a while longer...Regards,
