November 11, 200322 yr I was just wondering if the system failures will be functional with the release of SU2?I realize there are issues more important than failures in the SU2 patch. However, as you are trying to make this an all inclusive patch, even including some functions that were intended for the 800/900, I was curious if the failure system was among them.Thanks.
November 11, 200322 yr They work on my copy Murf. I tried failure at V2 and worked like a charm...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
November 12, 200322 yr Thanks for the reply Randy. I believe the engine failures always worked ok. The problem was the hydraulic, electric and fires.
November 12, 200322 yr I am curious about this as well... A while back, a few of us got all over the forums asking, but at the time we were told that it was passed to the programmers and they were looking into it. I believe the problem was acknowledged, but no indication of planned resolution was given.(V1/2 engine failures were working, but all others including fuel, ele, hydro, pneu, avionics were not) An update would be appreciated!!! I'm not putting all hopes and dreams on failures, but knowing if it's been looked into would be great!-Greg

November 13, 200322 yr Commercial Member Practicing a little Single Engine Approach work, I don't know how that thing stays in the air with only 115,000 lbs of thrust available on that one engine. To bad they didn't have the 117,000 lb test bed :-) I got pictures of this one and the 117,000 lb bird sitting next to each other at BFI. Pretty amazing Birds. November 13, 200322 yr What is strange to me is that BOTH engines look not to be operating. Just glance at the engines cones on both...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
November 13, 200322 yr The photo may just have been taken at a very high shutter speed, Randy. There doesn't seem to be enough rudder for an engine out(especially considering the 777 puts in rudder automatically under E/O situations).Cheers.Ian.
