November 14, 200322 yr Guess I should've changed the posting in that other thread, lol.I've got DF737, and while I like it, it doesn't run well in FS2K2 (very well, the patch didn't seem to work for me).I'm thinking I might be sold on the PMDG 737, but my question is: Should I buy now or wait for the SU2 release? If I purchase it tonite, I understand that's for the 600/700 (which is what I'm looking for) but would it be better to wait for the SU2?
November 14, 200322 yr Well here's the deal, if you purchase now you will see where the airplane has been for the last couple of months (it has some nagging issues like engine shutdown in flight when center tank runs dry etc)but is perfectly flyable but if you wait for SU2, your first impressiom will be very different. It's a personal call, SU2 will be out any day (MORE THAN ONE hehe) and in many hundreds of ways has changed...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. November 14, 200322 yr Hi,Even today the 737 is a fantastic product.I wouldn't wait!!David in Jerusalem - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
November 15, 200322 yr I also think you should take the plunge and buy it now. :) There are small things wrong and small things missing (to be corrected in SU2 aparently), but overall it is quite flyable. I think the best aspect is the flight model. The first time you hand fly this plane you will be SHOCKED.The combination of the anti-aliased gauges and the high fidelity flight model will definately keep you from missing the little things too much while PMDG cranks out SU2.-Shaun
November 15, 200322 yr See, I'd actually recommend for him to wait!Recall there were some hiccups with the installation of SU-1, causing people to need to do full re-installs of the airplane. You've waited this long, what's a few more days or so? You can get the plane, download the proper patches and have it running in peak form without the added complexity of having it already installed. You won't be disappointed if you get it now, but you *might* save a small headache or two if you wait. Either way, MAKE SURE you have it after SU2 is released. The hype makes me think that this plane is about to become the "PIC" of it's generation. -Greg
November 15, 200322 yr Is there any possibility to purchase a CD version that would incorporate all the patches including the SU-2 version to avoid all the downloading etc ??jack noullet
November 15, 200322 yr Just a very gentle bump on this one..Anybody from PMDG care to comment on this topic?jack noullet
