November 20, 200322 yr (which allows us to save the excact aircraft state in a seperate situation file)I didn't find such a feature in the list. By the way, the update features sound great!Malte
November 20, 200322 yr No there will not. This *might-should* be an option for the 800-900 phase coming later on...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
November 20, 200322 yr That's a real pity. As mentioned elsewhere I waste so much time having to reconfigure the aircraft each time I load it up.This is not the real world. It is a simulator.RegardsAdam Moore
November 20, 200322 yr Commercial Member Adam,You should be happy that PMDG is thinking about adding this feature! After all, until now only PIC offers a full panel-save option, all other developers do not offer such a feature even in there newest releases. What I'm trying to say is that you can't expect that feature to be standard in a payware product. Now if PMDG says it might be in there it is already a big step forward since other developers don't even think about adding that one...Best regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
November 21, 200322 yr Well, contrary to what's written above, there will be in SU2 *some* sort of intermediate save / restore possibility. If you save a situation in flight (make it stable, AC flying level), when you restore it the aircraft will have CMD on with commanded hdg and speed as were when saved, and in alt hold. From that point on, you can program the FMC and resume your flight...anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
November 21, 200322 yr Thanks for your responses.A SAVE/RESTORE function is IMHO one of the most BASIC facilities on any sort of Simulator. That is how people learn about differing scenario's because they can be saved and restored at a later time (not possible in the real world but ALWAYS possible in the simulator).I look forward even more to your forthcoming SU2 patch containing this very important feature.RegardsAdam Moore
November 21, 200322 yr PS!Before I get called a "complaining old git" (less of the old...)I will say that the PMDG 737NG shares my number one spot as the best "addon" for FS ever WITH the VisualFlight UK VFR Scenery packages.Put them both together and you have an "oooh ahhh" combination of visuals and technical excellence that even my partner is impressed by (and that is an amazing feat...any mention of "aviation" normally sees him dozing off..).
