November 27, 200322 yr Hello everyone,I just need some help to install navdata,I know that you download it from navdata.at but I dont know what file and where to go,it does not say navdata file on the website. And when I do download it how do I install it and where?Sorry everyone Iam new to this.Curently running win-98 MSFS-2004.Thankyou in advance for any help.Danny
November 27, 200322 yr Hi DannyJust double click on the exe file and, when it asks for the location of your FS9 folder, direct it there and it will create the necessary folders and files for you in the right place. For example, my FS9 folder is in f:FS04 so, when it asks where to install the files, I direct it to f:FS04. You may find, as I did, that after double clicking the exe file the instal dialog box is hidden under your file manager. Just bring it to the front to carry on.The install procedure is slightly un-nerving for the newbie because it appears to be installing a whole new installation of PMDG/PIC but don't let that put you off. You should end up with a folder called FMCWP under the root of FS9 and a sub-folder of that one called NAVDATA with 5 *.txt files and a *.dat file if all has gone to plan.As it happens, I've gone back to the 0311 airac file because there's a problem I can't solve just now with EGCC but that's another matter.HTHPaul Croft10 miles SE of EGLL Paul Croft 15 mls north of EGKK

November 29, 200322 yr As of 27th Novemebr 2003 a lot of the airway names in the UK changed.A1 UA1 A3 etc no longer exist in the UK, and thus the navdata is accurate. For more details visit www.vatsim-uk.org
