Does anyone actually fly the plane any more?

Featured Replies

Agree with you 100% Nigel. Negative comments aren't bad. The attitude and approach for voicing the comments is the "backbreaker"

I keep looking every day for more tips about flying the plane, or questions that I can help with, or help on procedures. It is getting rather hard to weed through all the negative posts and find the quality discussion that I usually see here.I'd like to send out yet another heart-felt thanks to the folks at PMDG and the beta testers for their efforts to release a quality product. Take your time and do it right. The current 737NG is better than anything else in my e-hangar, and spending any time actually worrying about the next patch would just take away the small amount of time I have to fly it.If you're happy with the plane, let PMDG know! Maybe we can drown out all the negativity around here with some good feedback and some real discussion. Let's think up some good topics to discuss while we wait. Thanks again PMDG,AaronP.S. If you feel the need to reply to this post and attack me or register your disagreement, please just send me a private message instead so I can properly ignore your comments without bothering everyone else.

I just re-read my post to confirm that I did what I intended, which was to try to drum up some more constructive discussion about the product, and not just read about how impatient people are.I think "incite riot" and "contempt" are rather inappropriate words given that I didn't actually complain about any of the posts or posters. I respect the right of all the posters to vent their frustration.Perhaps "incivility" would have been a better word than negativity. There have been more than a few locked or deleted posts due to personal attacks. I recall clearly my horror upon reading that PMDG was justifiably thinking about locking down the forum and pulling support after the generally poor behavior in the forum after the last patch was eagerly expected. I just hope that cooler heads prevail this time around.Aaron

I just want to take a moment and thank the original author of this post for bringing up an excellent point. After flying all night tonight without the update I can honestly say that yeah this is the best plane in my hanger. I got caught up in the SU2 hype yesterday and lost my sense of perspective on the situation. I trust PMDG and their methods of dealing with patches and whatnot. We all want it, we all want it BAD. But I think they are absolutely right by using the PROVEN method of making build and sending it to the beta testers to knock around. Although this can be tedious and frusterating to the end user, this method has always proven to yield the best results. I just spent the last few hours in this beast and had nothing but fun. Much more fun than trolling the forum like I was yesterday. Doing a visual to 19L at KLAS on VATSIM with the "stratosphere in sight" was absolutely amazing and immersive. You go PMDG. You absolutely rule. __Josh

Aaron,You are absolutly right, there are some rather disrespectfull people out there, I like to think I'm NOT ont of them. I do beleive in venting, I't helps me live longer by getting things of my chest. I vent on a daily basis in life :-) I have a very stressfull job.I appreciate the efforts of any manufacturer/developer for what they do for the community, especially people like PMDG who spend hours of there own time workin early into the morn.I do believe though that without constructive critism them world would not be the place it is to day. Isnt that a democracy?Ho, Ho, Ho,Merry Christmas to you :-)Nigel

I don't know/care about the negativity, but I do love the PMDG 737 with or without SU2.James
