December 21, 200322 yr As part of my checklist, I turn on the F/D prior to engine start. I've discovered that after some period of time , it turns off. I don't know if I've done something or not.I changed the checklist, and turned it on during the taxi checks, only to find that when I pushed TOGA it had once again kicked off. Still have no idea when it happened. It's not a real big deal, because know that I'm aware of it, I check it prior to pushing TOGA, and turn it back on if necessary; however, it would be nice to have it stay on.Thanks,James
December 21, 200322 yr Commercial Member The FD and AT actually should be turned on only right as you take the runway for takeoff - what use is a *flight* director sitting at the gate or taxiing? ;) :D Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 21, 200322 yr Author Ok, but the PMDG checklist clearly shows the F/D being turned on prior to start.I can live with it, I just wish it wouldn't kick off for no apparent reason.James
