February 13, 200422 yr Hi,The best thing to do might be to rename the original FS9.CFG file instead of deleting it. By doing so you'll be able to look in it for old settings if you miss any afterwards. You should not have FS9 running when renaming the file! After you have renamed the file, start FS9 and FS9 will create a brand new FS9.CFG file for you. You will then have to set the display settings and so on that you would like to use. Also there might be other things in your old FS9.CFG file that you want to copy and paste over to the newly created FS9.CFG. But remember to only copy and paste one thing at a time so you'll notice if anything you copy causes FS9 to slow down again...and if so you've found the source of your problem!Good luck!!
February 13, 200422 yr There is a Reset Defaults in the Troubleshooting menu on the FS9 menu under start -> programs -> ...Does deleting the fs9.cfg perform the same as this? Is anyone sure that all the proper stuff gets recreated simply by deleting or does this reset do more then *just* recreate that one file?Ray
February 13, 200422 yr Hi,One thing to make sure of when switching to full screen mode is that your flightsim resolution exactly matches your Windows resolution, otherwise the framerates drop to about 1/4.regards,craig.
February 13, 200422 yr That's strange, I'm runnig Windows in 1024x768 but run FS9 in 1280x960 without any problems noticed regarding the FPS. But...maybe it's worth a try and see if the FPS gets better than it's already is!Cheers,
