June 30, 200223 yr Notice the heavy. He's not moving(Pai United). Has been cleared but doesnt move. Three GA behind it with one on the runway. Here comes the lear slams down at what looked to be 1500fpm and stops. ATC informs the lear to move off the runway asap. Of course he wont until the cessna moves. The plane I was waiting for was a 737 from Vancouver Canada (PAI West). Here it comes on Final but he has to go around because everything is blocked. Had to laugh. I wish I could decompile the AI stuff and rewrite it. Well, Im not really sure you want a crowded airport until both the AI and the ATC get a little smarter LOL.BobG
July 1, 200223 yr There actually was a post similar to this awhile ago. I have a slow internet connection and have yet to complete downloading Project AI. As for the crowded airport thing, I get enough go-around's without PAI from stupid AI not clearing the runway. Kind of frustrating. :)
July 1, 200223 yr I just saw something similar tonight at Frankfurt.Took a B747-200 (alitalia) on way to LIMC (Malpensa)and got stuck in a line of PAI aircraft when a BAA320 wouldnt move. 7 backed up airplanes and nobodymoved. The Martinair MD11 (CSI) took off fine, butthe PAI plane got stuck and screwed up everybody.I've seen this at KATL as well with a dozen PAI planespiled up because somebody wont move. Dont know if thisis because of a combination of PAI and non PAI AI planesor not.I've also seen PAI planes jump in front of me on finaland proceed to land 1 mile short of the runway. Saw thatat LIMC just tonight. Not sure whats MS and whats PAI. dont get me wrong...PAI is AWESOME. But still some stuff to work out.Eric AND
July 1, 200223 yr Well, PAI warned us of conflicts if you did not use the recommended approach during installation. No details were given as far as I know but it would be nice to know what exactly they meant. Something about using their schedule only. Im sure someone will work through it.BobG
July 1, 200223 yr I'm pretty sure this has to do with AFCAd and nothing with PAI.Probably there are too many nodes close together
July 1, 200223 yr Several things add to this problem1. You need to have a normal node infront of the hold node (before the runway ( Node, HOLD, Node) 2. I have found that most of the problems happen what GA aircraft are in the mix something screws up so I have removed ALL GA traffic from the large airports.3. The only other way to fix this ATC hickup is to adjust your time and have MS re-set the trafficJohn JetLine Systems Gravity GT2-Windows 10 Home Edition (64-Bit), NZXT H500 Mid-Tower, Black, Gigabyte Aorus Z390 PRO WIFI, LGA 1151, Intel 9th Gen Core i9 9900K (5.0GHz Turbo) 8 Core / 16 Thread, Corsair Hydro H60 120mm Liquid Cooling, 32GB Corsair DDR4 SDRAM 3000MHz RGB, 12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, GDDR6, 750 Watt Corsair RM Series Power Supply, 5.1 Channel Realtek Integrated HD Audio, Primary SSD Drive:1TB Samsung 970 EVO, M.2 NVMe PCIe (SSD), Secondary SSD Drive:2TB Samsung 970 EVO, M.2 NVMe PCIe (SSD) 4TB WD Black 7200 RPM Mechanical , SimOn Solutions 737 Professional Compact Trainer (MIP, OH). July 1, 200223 yr 4. Download AI View and just delete the "offenders"!Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing
July 1, 200223 yr Author Does anyone know how to change the radius for a PAI aircraft? I have been told it is only in the .mdl file, but I cannot open it. This has got to be eaiser than I thought.Bob Johnson
