July 2, 200223 yr Heather,I'll add my 2 cents worth. YES, you are a wonderful addition to the community. Keep 'em coming! :)By the way, I searched the AVSIM library for your DC-3 but could not find it. I searched for "Heather", for "DC-3", and even for "Charter" and none of the searches returned anything recognizable. Can you give me a better idea as to how to find it? Would love to check it out as I am an Gooney Bird lover from way back! The only unarmed aircraft ever credited with downing a Jap Zero during WW2 ! :)Happy Flying!Bill MolonyAtlanta GA USAUnder the 27L Approach to KATL--the busiest airport in the world :)
July 2, 200223 yr Hi Bill!Glad you liked the repaint, it's the only one I've done so far. The reason you can't find it is because it's not there. When I uploaded it, I had made the unfortunate error of believeing I had all the permission I needed and uploaded the ENTIRE aircraft package. Well needless to say, the excrement hit the rotary oscillator over it and I had it removed before I or anyone else got in trouble over copyright infringements. At this time I have another gentleman looking over the legaleze of a "repaint texture only" package deal that I would like to upload.Hopefully this won't be too much longer but I can't be too careful. Regrets,Heather
July 2, 200223 yr Ouch!!! Sorry to hear that. But you are right to be careful! As I am sure you are painfully aware, non of this stuff is easy whether it is repaints, aircraft/scenery building, panels, etc., etc., etc. And even if it is mostly "free", that doesn't make it an open target. We all have the right to protect our work, even if it is provided to the community for free.I have generally found that nearly all are more than happy to give permission for repaints and other related formats. I think most even consider it a compliment to be asked. But, it is still absolutely necessary to get that permission in advance just to be sure. It is not only the law but a rather important general courtesy.I do hope you can get this worked out soon. Would love to see your work!Happy Flying!Bill MolonyAtlanta GA USAUnder the 27L Approach to KATL--the busiest airport in the world :)
