February 21, 200422 yr Hi, I just purchased the 737NG and I can already see that I will not be disappointed with this awesome addon. After reading and studying all of the forum posts it came down to..."I just have to have it"! I think also it was the obvious dedication and professionalism of the PMDG staff and their sense of commitment to the customer that sold me on PMDG. I also purchased the excellent B1900D last week and I needed something like this to tear me away from that exceptional piece of software. Now I am in FS heaven with what will no doubt become my 2 favourite AC. Anyway, I am currently going through the fine tutorial by Fred Clausen and in the 'Flight Deck Preparation" section on the OH Panel it talks about turning on the "Ground Power" switch. When I attempted this the blue "Grd power Available" light does NOT come on. BTW, of course I'm starting from a cold cockpit. When I press below the switch to turn it on it has a spring action and goes back to the Neutral position. I'm sure I am using version 1.3 since I purchased it today. So, if this was a bug in v1.2 I would think it would not continue in v1.3. If anyone else has experienced this and has a work around, please reply to this message. Keep up the great work guys!Regards,Tom Stewart i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
February 21, 200422 yr Im not 100% on this but i think that u have to have the parking brakes on to have ground power available. Adam
February 21, 200422 yr Author You are correct Adam. I did not have the Parking brake on at the time and I just tried that and it worked. But the switch still appears to have a spring action to it. It does not remain in the "ON" position. I assume this is normal. Thanks again for your help sir,Tom i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
February 21, 200422 yr "But the switch still appears to have a spring action to it."This is correct (as per the real aircraft), Tom. Note however, the Park Brake logic is for sim purposes only (this automatically connects the ground power plug to the aircraft external power connection on the right hand side of the fuselage).Cheeers.Ian.
