Only the left engine will ignite. Bug?

You say>start the right engine with the left pack switch OFF>and the Right (pack) in AUTO.... Then you say you are>unable to start the right engine with the left??? pack>switch ON. Didn't you say the left pack was>OFF?Yes, I'm unable to start the right engine with the left pack swith ON, so I switch it off. Sounds logical to me :DDon't think we disagree here. But in cases where I've been UNable to turn on the right engine, it's because the left pack switch was turned on. Therefore... turn it off ;)-Morten

"But in cases where I've been UNable to turn on the right engine, it's because the left pack switch was turned on. Therefore... turn it off ;)"Ah... now I'm with you... I think. You didn't have a problem, you were simply telling the forum how it should be done (because Boeing logic won't allow the right engine to start if both packs and both engine bleeds are on.... due to the Isolation Valve "AUTO" logic).Of course, you could switch any pack off or any bleed valve off and still be able to start the right engine. It doesn't necessarily have to be the left pack that is switched off.Cheers.Ian.
