I have my SID/STARS combined. The PMDG and the navdata.at. Now, question is, are these more updated that the navdata.at ones? I especially found out that old PMDG library did not have some SIDs/STARs for some smaller airports...

>I have my SID/STARS combined. The PMDG and the navdata.at.>Now, question is, are these more updated that the navdata.at>ones? I especially found out that old PMDG library did not>have some SIDs/STARs for some smaller airports...Hi there Word Not Allowed. I'm not entirely sure I understand your questions but here goes. Are they more updated? The SIDs/STARs/IAPs you can get at navdata.at are written by hand by individuals using some sort of chart, I presume, that I would hope was current at the time they did their work. These procedures may or may not be current depending if the author updates them when there are any real world changes to them. The DAFIF SIDs/STARs/IAPs you get at the PMDG site are automatically derived from the current DAFIF cycle by a program I wrote so you get SIDs/STARs/IAPs that are currently in real world use. These procedures are updated at each real world AIRAC/DAFIF cycle. The main reason you find SIDs/STARs/IAPs on navdata.at is because the DAFIF was designed for the U.S. military and therefore only contains airports and SIDs/STARs/IAPs that they can use. Unfortunately this leaves a gap. There are some airports not represented and there are some SIDs/STARs/IAPs that are not available at some airports. That is why you are missing some airports and some SIDs/STARs/IAPs that are found in the real world AIRAC data.Hope I understood your questions and could shed some light.RegardsTerry

Hello KostaAll my UK sidstar files on the navdata site are current. I aim as far as I can to update these as each cycle is released. I only upload files that have airac changes that impact on the file. You will see a number of files dated 18/3/04 on the UK page now.I have the charts for next months airac changes sat ready now, so you can be assured that they are up to date. It should be noted that some airports may have had minor radial changes which didnt impact on the sidstar file as that section of the file was represented by navaid to navaid in the syntax so a new upload is not necessary in that case.I written sidstar files for airports outside the UK on the navdata site, these were current at the time of release. I plan to update EBBR shortly however I am unable to keep track on all these other countries, but if anyone spots an update to one of MY files is required please contact me by email. My files are available also from here http://homepage.ntlworld.com/simon.butler2...usefulfiles.htmthis link is about to change but I will leave a redirection link on that page and post the new address in the near future.Simon
