Optimum Resolution

Recommended Posts

Guest jdrago

My video card (Geforce FX 5900 Ultra 256mb), and my montior are capable of handling a high resolution. I currently fly at 1024x768 full screen. What's the optimum resolution for the 737-7? Is there an optimum for FS?Thanks in advance,John

I would say any 4:3 resolution is optimum for FS. I think the panel bitmap for the 737 is at 1600x1200 (I could be wrong), so really any reso is optimum in that regard :)

If your system can handle it by all means set it higher (panel's at 1280). I run at 1024x768 32 bit and kick up the AF to 4 times. But at higher res there really is no need to use *much* AA or AF. A lower res will always give you better performance...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg

Use 1024x768 or 1280x960 or 1600x1200 or 1856x1392 or 1920x1440.They all have the proper display ratio. The oddballs in the middle between these settings will give you a squashed or stretched result.Ray

I also have a GeForce FX5900 (Non Ultra) and I run at 1280x960 on a 19 inch monitor. It is a good setting for FS9 in general not just the PMDG 737 which I also own. I hate 1280x1024
