with the pmdg 737....the purple line is not accurate...the only way for me to stay on it ...IS TO FLY SIDEWAYS!....this is only when i run it in fs2002....when i run it in fs2004...the line is true and there is no problem....how can i get it to work in fs2002 like it does in fs2004?

if you are asking about the 737-800/900 series?it is not compatible with FS2002this is mentioned on the products page for the 800/900matthew

first off all, if you wish to receive a reply from the staff, you must first be able to comply to their forum rules so next time sign your postings with your name please.secondly are you talking about the 600/700 or the 800/900 as the 800/900 was not designed for FS2002

I find it stuppid that people ask those question if it stands on the PMDG site itself....first look out of your eyes then ask the question.

i am talking about the 600/700 series

the site is too overdeveloped and complex for me to bother navigating it...true genius is not how complicated you can make something,..but rather how simply....can you tell me how to find where you saw this problem adressed?

i am talking about the 600/700 series....my name is Mike Ryder...but i don't see how my name affects the cause and solution to my problem

Mike, The magenta line is the calculated route for the FMS if you are in LNAV. Are you in LNAV? Regardless the route line on the 600-700 is not always dead on and IN FACT is not always dead on the real one but it was noted that it was a bit off but updated in the 800-900. Another thing to remember is that airways a 5 miles wide so a little offset won't matter the time where following the LINE matters is on final where in the 10 mile range your offset must not be greater than your aircraft symble..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. "stuppid" ???

Mike adding to what others have said. If your waypoints are far apart like 500+ miles, you will see the type of offset you are talking about. As a general rule, when FSBuild 2.0 builds my flight plans the fixes follow established airways and don't go further. When I use FSBuild to do oceanic crossings, if there is not a fix within 300-500 miles I will make one, which is very easy to do in FSB.As everyone has said, this offset problem has been improved with the 800/900 upgrade which would also affect your 600 with the upgrade.Hope this helps Bob Johnson

When doing the same flight ..with the same aircraft..in fs2004..the magenta line IS dead on...it is only off with this particular flight...with this aircraft...in fs2002?
