May 10, 200422 yr I competed a four-hour flight on VATSIM last night using the TCAS on the 800, and it worked perfectly, accurately displaying the path and altitude of other traffic online traffic.Per the tutorial, I'm using it with the "FS2004 Internal" option for importing the other traffic via multiplayer. The tutorial states that if one wishes to use the FSUIPC interface, it requires the installation of AIBridge. Is there any particular advantage to doing it one way or the other, in terms of impact on system overhead and/or frame rates? I do run Squawkbox, SBRelay, AS2004 and AVC on a second computer over WideFS, to free up as many resources as possible on the main FS2004 machine.Jim Barrett Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. May 10, 200422 yr Hi Jim,Glad to hear things worked well for you! :-)I have not seen any system impact using either method (doesn't mean other system configs may not be impacted). I use (and wrote the tutorial based on) "Internal" mode because there is one less program to start, debug when issues arise and one less program utilizing system resources (probably very small). Now for the future, there may be other reasons to utilize the FSUIPC mode. ;-) George Morris
May 10, 200422 yr AIBridge doesn't consume resources however the internal option works very well and I'm using it. With SB3 I believe that FSUIPC options (without AIBridge) will be a better option again.Jos
May 11, 200422 yr Jose,Those of us that still also fly other planes, will still be using AIbirdge. Thanks Jose for the interface.Marv
