September 21, 200421 yr I've been playing computer games for about 20 years. If they say summer, they mean xmas. It's called grass roots, time delayed marketing. A worthy sales method that has been used since day one.So I would expect a beta around the mid/end of October, maybe sooner, a release date around the end of November.Thing is with Xmas, that the younger fans, might not be able to go and just buy it, but have to ask their folks for pennies first. Xmas makes that easy.If you release the computer game too early, before xmas, then the older/richer kids and adults buy the game, but let their less able to just buy a 35quid model play it, copy it, and generally give them every reason not to buy it.Just my thoughts. Lets see if I'm right.
September 21, 200421 yr It would be a massive surprise if it was ready for Christmas, but im not even holding my breath for that.As you know PMDG drive the schedule by quality and not time deadlines!ps... if you guys need a beta tester I have alot of experience in critical software quality assurance and a bit of airline experience too!;)Armen L Cholakian www.veryquiet.com Armen L CholakianPMDG Sound Engineer
September 21, 200421 yr Based on the popularity of this post, I think someone needs to start a pool based on possible release dates. $5 dollars a date. Top three closest wins the pot. A least a few of us could maybe make some money from all of this fervor! :-lolCome on you guys, it George Morris
