October 1, 200421 yr Hi After installing the updates, something weird is happening withNG fleet. After doing entire pre filght, fuel, cargo, pax weel done....i start my climb to reach my Fl,but about FL 230, vertical speed starts to decrease till reach 200 FPM, and speed decreases too.....it looks like a cessna climbing (i love cessna). ive been trying different configs, only a few kgs os fuel, none pax, none cargo, and it still having this problem ......Any Ideas ??? or reinstal ??Best Regards Wanderley
October 1, 200421 yr Take that last option for a change. Reinstall it again and if it still have the same problem then you load config have to be wrong??!!If you fly with the -800 version you have to put all the cargo in the aft cargo compartment.Good luck,
October 1, 200421 yr Also have you tried the PMDG load manager?Start Menu>Programs>PMDG SimulationsCheers! :)
October 1, 200421 yr It's been a while since I've flown the PMDG 737-900, but at that time what I noticed was that I could not get thrust to maximum N1 after a certain altitude, and as a result climb performance suffered. Reinstalling did not help. I have yet to try it with a different variant (but will when I get back to 737's). I don't think this was a calibration problem, as with the throttle lever on my CH Yoke at full forward position FSUIPC was showing it sending the maximum reading. I think somehow the PMDG throttle is limiting the thrust lever travel internally. I cannot, for example, exceed maximum takeoff N1 even if I put the throttle full forward. The thrust levers on the panel stop short of full forward. I do not use auto-thrust, btw.Mark Kuebeler
October 2, 200421 yr exceed maximum takeoff N1 even if I put the throttle full forward If you are doing a assumed TO you can of course advance past MAXimum but for a DERATE TO you cannot exceed MAX TO thrust. I'm not sure if you cannot physically advance past MAX but Boeing says you cannot. Stress on an Engine is greatest on takeoff. Other than loosing one engine or maybe windsheer I do not see why one would need to push the engines past the required thrust on TO? Maybe someone could enlighten me. Anyways, as your quote above please review this picturehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/92951.jpg Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith
http://www.rawbw.com/~bdoolin/shinault/Animation1.gifCaution! October 2, 200421 yr I suspect it could be related to some incorrect weights or FS settings. Another thing to keep in mind is the actual weight of the aircraft. Are you fully loaded? Can you post a screenshot of the panel at this point in the flight? Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith
http://www.rawbw.com/~bdoolin/shinault/Animation1.gifCaution! October 2, 200421 yr > If you are doing a assumed TO you can of course advance past>MAXimum but for a DERATE TO you cannot exceed MAX TO thrust.>I'm not sure if you cannot physically advance past MAX but>Boeing says you cannot. OK that does make sense, as I usually select TO-2, and what I'm seeing on the thrust lever position is consistent with your last sentence. I wonder if the CLB-2 setting is what's causing the thrust levers to not advance fully forward. I'll have to take a look at this some more. Thanks!Mark Kuebeler
October 2, 200421 yr "If you fly with the -800 version you have to put all the cargo in the aft cargo compartment."Is this statement correct? I fly the PMDG 600/700 only but I would imagine that The cargo must be balanced around the cg, (that is the cargo must be in such position to alow a correct C.G)
