Panel Edit Question

Featured Replies

Hi guys,Just doing a few modifications to my 737-800 main and zoom panels to try out some aesthetic differences ( I have made backups of all my files! ).All I have done is removed the center support for the windscreen on both pages, and of course removed the backup compass gauge with no problems at all.My question is that I cant find the files to modify the night view of these panels, hence the center support is still there for night views. Looking at the panel.cfg didnt refer to night and day panel differences so how do you guys make night panel views? Many thanks in advance.Armen at EGLLwww.veryquiet.comhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94506.jpg

There is no way to modify the night panel at least on the 800-900 series. What you remove on the day panels will remain in night. One can mod on the 600-700 with the correct tools (not supported). Hi Randy,Thanks for your response. I noticed that the center support texture returns when it is night and the 2D cabin light is turned on.You say its not modifyable in the -800/900, is that because its an fx file, gauge or an uneditable bmp located in the AircraftPMDG737-800texture.BA for example ?When you say it can on the 600/700 series is that because those aircraft handle night panel lighting differently, ie maybe bmp overlay ?Any info would be greatly appreciated.Armen at EGLLwww.veryquiet.com

So guys,How is the night lighting implemented on the -800/900 ??Is it an fx, bmp overlay, gauge or something else I have overlooked? All im looking for is to be pointed in the right direction, no need for "support", ill work out the rest !Many thanks in advance.Armen at EGLLwww.veryquiet.com

Well one can normally Gary but PMDG did a *little* som'thin with their main GAU file ;0. that was not done to the 600-700 version. Yes the night is an overlay (really a complete bitmap contained within a gau for night). I know of no one that can get into the 800-900 (I have tried lol) but all the normal routes do no work...
