January 1, 200521 yr Hi,Have you tryed the removal tool from PMDG's Website? You might want to give that a try. Also, if you are comfortable editing the Windows Registry, you could go into it and check there for any leftover entrys that didn't get removed.Other than that, a re-install might be the only other solution. I have upgraded my PC now, and have flightsim and PMDG installed and working nicely. Its ALOT of work, but is worth it in the end!Good Luck!andHappy New Year!Gary
January 1, 200521 yr Ran the removal tool, uninstalled FS9. Just did a fresh install of FS9 on partition D. Run PMDG 737NG installer and it freezes fairly quickly with the following: Current File Skipping File: C:WINDOWSFontsArialn.ttfWindows Task Manager shows the installer is not responding.I'm stumped.Wayne B
January 1, 200521 yr I"m having the same problem. This is a new install (just downloaded it today) and I can only get as far as installing the first font and it hangs (program not responding). I hope you guys can come up with a fix for this, I hate to think I just threw away 40 bucks. BTW, I have a C: drive and the permissions are correct to the font directory.
January 2, 200521 yr Well I figured it out. I did another fresh install of FS9 and installed 737NG PRIOR to installing the FS9.1 update (I had previously installed the update first). No problem this time. Doh!!!Wayne B
January 4, 200521 yr Commercial Member Gents-If ANY of you are having problems with the installer hanging on the installation of the fonts- please email me directly. We have had about 50 or so complaints of this- but we were never able to string together enough data to help us find a solution.I might have found the solution to the problem today- but we need a few "test subjects."No simmers will be harmed in the performance of these tests.... but we may require sleep deprivation or a reduction in fluid intake.... You should email me at the following: rsrandazzo(AT)precisionmanuals(dot)com Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
