Theoretically its possible, but in theory you'd need 0 V/S during the alginment period - right?What do real sims do in this scenario?767PIC v1 and PS1.3 both didn't have V/S in att mode. PS1.3 however had a functioning FD! (well except for LNAV and VNAV) while 767PIC didn't.Regards,Mark

If you are in ALIGN or NAV (prior to full alignment), there will be no V/S, but in ATTitude (after 30 seconds) and full NAV there will be V/S (assuming ADC data is available). This applies to 767's and 747-400's, so this may apply to the NG also (ADIRU's.... Who knows?)As for availability in the air.... volunteers??? :-)Cheers.Ian.
