Weird Display Issue (On Glareshield)

Recommended Posts

For some reason the crs, heading, altitude, and vs indicators on the glareshield stay dark without any digits showing, even after turning everything on. I can engage the various commands like lnav, vnav, etc., but no digits?any ideas?ricardo

Ricardo,Have you installed any other add on aircraft recently? If so, try running the PMDG removal tool and reinstalling the PMDG 737NG Last and see if the problem is corrected.RegardsPaul Gollnick :-cool Technical Operations/Customer Operational SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg

Paul:thanks for this reply on a sunday evening. I had installed aerosoft's BAE 146. Apparently, this destroyed displays on all my aircraft. Uninstalling the BAE, then deleting and rebuilding FS9 cfg has fixed this problem.ricardo

Ouch. . .there's a lot quicker fix if this ever happens again:Go to your FS2004Fonts directory and delete the font quartz.tff. Then go to your windowsfonts folder and copy the quartz.tff back to the FS2004fonts folder. This will fix the problem. For some reason the quartz font gets messed up from time to time, and affects a lot of products (and even the default aircraft!) Weird. Otherwise, don't uninstall and reinstall everything. . .that is just more of a hassle! Take care! :D-drew:-wavep.s. I had the same thing happen when I installed the -146 package from aerosoft, but in order to not loose it as well as the other aircraft, try doing the font thing I recommend.
