July 29, 200520 yr Well, here we go again.I knew already of the PROG PAGE 3/3 but wat is it for. If you look to the ITVV VS19 video y'll here First officer Alan Ratigan saying: "it's no interest for you" but I am curious wat it's for.
July 29, 200520 yr I do not believe it is implemented in this Queen's FMC, but as per Bulfer and Gifford (FMC User's Guide) -Progress page three is used to enter data for required time of arrival (RTA). RTA can be entered or changed during preflight or in flight. Creating an RTA changes PROGRESS and CRZ page titles to include RTA. RTA operates only in cruise. Cruise speed (to a limit) is adjusted to reach that waypoint at the desired time. Bob... Bob Prince
July 29, 200520 yr (duh ... forums are such fun when you answer at the same time as someone else)Memory serves, it is for creating a "Required Time of Arrival" at a waypoint.Certainly falls in the "no interest for you" catagory. It lets the FMC mess with speed to make a target constraint. Just another real fancy way to cause VNAV to break :+Ray
July 29, 200520 yr Author Actualy, you can see the RTA page in the manual. Thanks for you explenation guys.
